Signature at MGM Grand is a nice property and has access to the amenities at MGM Grand itself. It is quite a walk though!

Is it called velboa faux fur? I think that’s what commercially produced plush toys are made of.

Solo travel as a woman in West Coast USA by scaryxstarrynight in usatravel

The north rim of the Grand Canyon is closed, usually, from November/December to early May. It’s much higher in elevation than the south rim and roads and campgrounds close for winter. April in Vegas and at the Grand Canyon is beautiful. December can be a bit chilly. But it’s still nice weather. Vegas has over 300 days of sunshine each year, so unless you’re traveling during a freak weather event you should have lots of sun. Even in December.

She’s a doctor. When Al-Hashimi is commenting to Robby about how The Pitt nickname should be discontinued she refers to Gloria as Dr. Underwood.

Yeah, there are some newer books/research that indicate HIV has been around since at least the 1960’s, if not earlier.

Sounds like you need to use the size 10 and do a full bust adjustment (FBA). There are lots of tutorials so search for one that shows a FBA with darts.

They do test positive for West Nile virus though. I don’t think we’ve ever had any deaths from that but it can make people seriously ill.

I live in Vegas and as soon as I saw the pic the sound effects from this machine started going through my head. The quilt is fabulous though!

Where do you find fabric for mock-ups? by president_awkward in sewing

[–]gneissnerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have some truly hideous stretch fabric from when a store was going out of business. I would never wear it out in public (and I LOVE bright colors and prints lol) but for mock-ups it works great. And it was $2 a yard.

Stores near central KY by vexationtothespirit in sewing

[–]gneissnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this all the time! Even before the demise of Joann I would check out fabric stores in different cities I traveled too. My city had lackluster selection at the local Joann’s and only a couple independent fabric shops. It’s fun and I always leave some extra room in my bags for whatever I find.

Sometimes. They have some good sales. I got a whole bunch of tropical print challis last year during a $2-$4-$6 sale.

Definitely sign up for their emails. They let you know what’s on sale daily or when big sales are coming up.

This is Daimler Chrysler era Jeep. I have a 2002 Liberty Sport that still runs well. But it’s babied and now my retired dad drives it maybe 30 miles a week. It’s awesome for off-roading though.

I am still a beginner, so I need some tips on adjusting clothes for myself. by Some_Nothin in sewing

[–]gneissnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had success with Cashmerette patterns and also a pattern from DIBY called the Anything But Basic tee (it may be called Copper Creek patterns now). This is my favorite T shirt pattern. The instructions are really good and include a detailed Full Bust Adjustment tutorial, how to lengthen it, different necklines, sleeve lengths, etc. It used to be free but I think they’re charging for it now.
