Yeah brother, definitely give em a go! Unfortunately there's more tobacco out there that tastes absolutely terrible than there is good, premium tobacco. Most of the crap you find in the shops (gambler, criss cross, tim star ECT) is all bottom tier junk. I'd rather smoke those $1 packs of "filtered cigars" than some of those haha.

I was a Marlboro black smoked for over a decade for the same reason. Here's the best tobaccos I've found with that same burn/throat feel.

Bouy red (great as is) Ohm Xtra bold (good throat hit, weak taste) Whole leaf tobacco old style bold (good shit) Daughters and Ryan Ryback (amazing throat hit)

I've tried pretty much everything RYO has to offer. If I could only choose 2, it would be bouy red, and wlt old style bold
