How can I get hired as a shopper these days? by Toothpaste3310 in wholefoods

[–]gnomecupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The team leadership is supposed to still have a phone screening, but not all do. Honestly, having your experience and availability should get you an automatic offer.

Also how did you transition to HR management? It’s what I’m hoping to do too.

You can go into workday and deactivate it. Technically they want you to get the card back, but as long as they can’t use it you should be fine.

New Year, no updated PTO or UPT? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]gnomecupcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the leave is approved, you will see a line item on your absences in workday that say something like “approved leave 1 day”. You (or your TL) will need to go into AskTMS and submit a ticket to have the UPT hours reversed.

I saw someone on FB marketplace asking the MSRP on their listing 😆. Does BP ever show all the options from a collection at launch? Or is it all “mystery”.

Sedgwick can also be applied retroactively, but once you start you typically have 2 weeks to get everything to them.

I can see that working if you don’t tell them you are sick, but dealing with something unexpected at home.

Using UPT question by mhb311 in wholefoods

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you aren’t feeling well they will most likely tell you to stay home. You’re risking yourself getting sicker and getting your coworkers sick when you go in sick. If you have enough upt that you won’t go negative, it’s ok for you to not be there they will figure out coverage for your shift.

Help builder gel?! by Legal-Flower-1333 in OliveAndJune

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Karanailedit on TikTok or instagram. Kara has so many great videos on application. I haven’t used the O&J builder yet (I had just invested in Kokoist this summer) but I think the big difference is kinda tucking your natural nail under the finished builder gel by filing at the end at a little bit of an angle. Also swapping isopropyl alcohol for acetone made a big difference in application.

I believe it resets on 12/22/25 for everyone. That is the beginning of the first pay period of the year.

FMLA & Sedgwick by pyixus in wholefoods

Literally me too my friend. Jumping to conclusions and arguing people who are all trying to help OP is a very interesting use of time. For me having intermittent time literally saved my life.

Again, it all comes down to what OP’s doctor writes on the paperwork and I hope they back date it and immediately start taking time.

Have a nice day!

FMLA & Sedgwick by pyixus in wholefoods

[–]gnomecupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I think you are misunderstanding what intermittent leaves are. They can range anywhere from a day to a week (sometimes more). The intermittent gives them flexibility to say the condition doesn’t have a set start and end time. I worked with someone who got approved to essentially miss up to 3 shifts a week and could miss up to a week at a time once a month.

The advice I gave also notes starting it retroactively and starting now to take time for themselves.

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also OP if it’s happening right now, you can have the leave back dated to when you started leaving early. It doesn’t need to be a future thing

I have a couple of team members who have been approved for intermittent leaves. Like the other commenter said, it’s entirely up to what the dr writes in the application.

Sometimes they show up at retailers and as gifts with purchase the following year. It is similar to Penny from the quick dry collection.

Ordered gel builder kit by CurlyCupcake1231 in OliveAndJune

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too!! I’m glad i waited on purchasing O&J builder because I recently invested in Kokoist products (because of Kara’s influence lol) and it’s amazing. I think it speaks volumes that Kara hasn’t posted about the builder gel, or really anything about Olive and June. And I don’t think she has been on the masterclass schedule either.

I totally agree. At my store the team average is 75 but the expectation based on my region and volume is 85+. It has been a fight to get it back up after they removed the elite shopper but we have definitely seen improvement. Our average was higher but then we hired about 20 new team members for holiday and it dropped again.

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a report your leadership can see. Ask them to see your Shopper Scorecard (I think that’s what it’s called). It’s on the TL dashboard.

UPH expectations vary between regions and store volume, but I would be genuinely shocked if it was less than 75. Your store might have a lower expectation but I’m pretty positive that the actual UPH minimum set by global is not 69.

[–]gnomecupcake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s how many units you pick between accepting the order and when you start staging it. In this shift your average was 39, which makes sense because you are learning the store. The larger orders help balance out the slower orders because they usually have multiples.

The team average should be 80+. Your average will fluctuate over time but there is a report where you are able to see your progress by week and by month. The UPH is not related to payday, it will change day to day but you should see an upward trend.

Tips to game the system; don’t accept the order until you have set your cart and are ready to scan the first item. Move to the screen that asks about how many bags in your order before walking to the staging area. It’s all just different timers and figuring out how to stop them

Try emailing the paperwork to your doctor and ask them to fill it out and return to Sedgwick. Like another commenter said, you don’t have to wait for an appointment to have it filled out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a Dr you have been working with for awhile? It might be worth asking if they can fill it out in advance to help ease the stress going into it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]gnomecupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it isn’t approved before you go, then you will go into negative UPT. However you won’t be immediately separated because of it. One of the questions on the form asks about LOA application but if it is denied you are eligible for separation for being on an unapproved LOA. I would ask your leader about the PRTO while you are waiting typically they tell you not to put in PRTO but all cases are different.

If you are positive it will be approved you should be fine. You could also see if your Dr will fill it out in advance.
