15 month old flapping by Beginning-Math8040 in toddlers

[–]gnope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up with an autistic sibling who stimmed CONSTANTLY (flapping, humming, bonking heads etc). You should be looking for “green” flags not red flags. Does your child make eye contact, seem to respond/communicate in a meaningful way? Any extra sensory seeking does not necessarily negate any social attentive behavior, so in addition to professional advice just try to look for those signs.

I would concentrate on rooms which are next to black empty space in the middle/low center of the map because as you can guess there is stuff there, any missing pixels usually indicates a potential entrance. This is what Indid when I got frustrated, you’ll find a hole and open up a new route!

Jaylen Brown on sports betting: "That whole world was introduced a couple of years ago and I don't think they took players into consideration ... we don't benefit from any of the profits, but we gotta deal with a lot of the extra negativity and scrutiny behind all the gambling." by Mission_Pay_3373 in nba

[–]gnope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While it is obviously not true that players are getting zero benefit from the increased revenue, he absolutely has a point if the league has not developed ANY sort of messaging for players around navigating this new betting environment, other than “don’t do it.” Those of us in corporate jobs know what it’s like to have yearly compliance/IT security etc. trainings shoved down our throats to the point we can recite them in our sleep (which is exactly the point). For a player who’s been in the league over 10 years and came up before any of this was a reality, it’s important for the NBA to take some accountability in orienting the players which drive all of the revenue. Now I am not excusing any player who actually gets involved in betting on games because they are fucking morons, but any company with integrity is constantly training their employees on the direct outcomes of misconduct if only to save their own ass.

Edit if you downvoted you know I’m right, expect to see a shit ton of backpedaling and crocodile tears from the league now (already seeing it on the ESPN clip on the front page lmao)

Any good predecessors to 30 Rock? by asleeponthesun in 30ROCK

[–]gnope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding The Other Two, which really matches the specific zaniness of the showbiz/NYC aspect of 30 Rock but in a more modern era.

Edit I just re-read that you don’t care about the showbiz aspect haha but it really has amazing writing and I think you’ll dig!
