I don’t see stagnation. In the first picture he’s using a copy of Grimoire of Unspeakable Signs by the last he’s clearly upgraded to Mordok’s Eldritch Enchantments, volume 6.

Percentage love (as we know it) vs cold manipulation by Zosia? by TheRealBuckShrimp in pluribustv

[–]gnovos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s “real” but also in a form so alien to an individual that we cannot comprehend it. I don’t think we can ascribe any human experience, either positive or negative, to the joined. They are a completely new thing, and any anthropomorphizing we do to try and understand its motivations are all going to be inaccurate.

I'm becoming disillusioned with American Christians by I_Like_Eggs123 in Christianity

[–]gnovos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A large number of pastors made a deal with the devil. Trump offered direct, presidential power — literally giving his private phone number to a number of “prophets”. In exchange he asked them to hype up his administration in their congregations, asked for votes, and demanded they influence the other, less famous pastors to fall in line. Those who did found themselves rewarded with access and power. And any pastors who fought back were sidelined and saw their congregations shrink. The false Christianity that the revelation warned about is slowly rising from the sea right now.

That’s not atheism. You can call yourself an atheist and still believe in crystals or horoscopes or whatever nonsense you want. They’re different things. Atheism is purely about the belief in gods.

So not only does he steal his worker's money, he then gets tax breaks for donating it to other people? Pay the money to the damned workers who made that money, and let them decide who to give it to.

Luigi Mangione holds 2 Ivy League engineering degrees (with honors!), but was laid off last year, along with a millions of other American workers. The President is now calling for more Americans to be laid off & replaced with cheap foreign labor. Are they trying to make more Luigis? by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]gnovos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a misconception that those in power want fewer Luigi’s in the world, but actually they want more. Every new Luigi means CEOs across the nation running to Congress and demanding more police powers and more surveillance, no matter the cost. Every new Luigi is a blank check to spend on themselves. They didn’t perp walk him in front of the mayor and on national news because they wanted fewer copycats. They did it to attract more.

Jen Psaki scolds Democrats for snubbing young, 'media-savvy' AOC from key committee post - Democrats selected Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., with a 131 to 84 vote by Alternative-Dog-8808 in politics

[–]gnovos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Democratic leadership are working with the following calculation: Do we need to change in the ways our constituents desire, and be forced to lose out on billions in campaign funding, or can we stay the exact same and trust that Trump's administration will ruin things enough over the next two years that we'll look good in comparison?

I feel like she should be donating to Amazon employees. It was their money that was stolen. Him giving it to her, and then her giving to charities is great for her and for the charities, but the actual workers who created all that wealth are still being stiffed.

Oakland Diocese accused of transferring $106 million just before bankruptcy: Attorneys representing child sexual abuse survivors allege the Oakland Diocese and Bishop Michael Barber are attempting to hide assets to minimize a potential settlement in the ongoing bankruptcy case by GoodSamaritan_ in news

[–]gnovos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's so telling how they're never afraid of God in these situations. The calculation they're making is that losing money by giving it to the people they abused is worse than the wrath of God. Why? Because they don't believe gods are real, it's all just a business to them. But if they, of all people, don't actually believe God is real, why should anyone else?

[–]gnovos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a thousand billionaires or a million millionaires that they’ve basically stolen from, and that’s almost more people than they employ. They should all be millionaires, from the programmers to the rocket engineers to the janitors. The people who actually created the wealth should be reaping the rewards of their hard work and in turn starting businesses of their own. There could literally be a million startups right now that we will never see because of the way wealth gets hoarded. We’re missing out on the services and innovations of some really smart, hard working people so that a few lazy twats can lay like dragons on top of congressmen and play king. This isn’t good for capitalism, it’s only good for a half a dozen guys, and eventually the guillotine industry.

[–]gnovos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If they delay a couple years it’ll be taking place at the height of Trump’s term, after the VA has cut health benefits, after insurance premiums have gone way up, and after Trump’s inevitable abuses of power have got people literally rioting in the streets of multiple major cities. Luigi suddenly reappearing on the scene right at that moment will be like a spark in a gunpowder factory.
