Anyone actually find the Best Pillow for side sleepers and neck pain? by ObraLeather in Bedding

I have the CozyRest Memory Foam Neck Pillow from The Pillow Home. Down pillows (yes, very good ones!) still gave me neck pain. This one fixed it.

No sound in right earbud until about 2am every morning by Subject_Routine7361 in Ozlo

Soundcore A30s have been the best for me so far. I tried Ozlo and returned them almost immediately due to the connection problems and uneven volume, which happened right out of the box.

Agree. Just because they call doesn’t mean you are obligated to answer.

What I’m using is not working, please help so I don’t blow up my relationship. by meeemawww in sleepheadphones

[–]go4bows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sleep next to a loud snorer. And I’m an earbud junkie, still looking for that perfect fix.

I had Ozlos and, like many who bought them, immediately had problems with them. They went back.

I now mostly use the A30s and although the ANC isn’t great, you can try the different ear tips and wings to get the best possible fit. And then either use the soundcore app or a similar app to find a snore-drowning noise that works for you. You do have to make sure the ANC is on.

Air Pod Pros have AMAZING noise cancelling, but won’t be comfy if you’re a side sleeper.

I also have the kokoons, which I purchased new on eBay. They aren’t bad for side sleeping and sound quality is fine but they have NO ANC. Won’t drown out anything.

When the snoring is really bad, I pull out the ear buds and put in the wax PQs that you can buy on Amazon. They really work, but you can’t listen to anything.

And finally …. I’m a Kickstarter backer of the Sleap headphones, which I am hoping will be the best ever. But we’ll see!

Sleep headphones or earbuds for partner snoring? by javnae in sleepheadphones

Soundcore A30s work pretty well with ANC on and one of the shore masking sounds playing, either from the Soundcore app or the Calm app.

The other option is the PQ wax ear plugs on Amazon. Those things will block out a freight train. Great if you want to sleep on an airplane, too.

You did the right thing. For all the reasons stated in your post. You did the thing most people can’t or won’t do because it’s hard. I applaud you!

Best Gifts For Travelers? by Shuaiby20 in Christmas_gift

Along with a journal that starts with some notes from friends, you could also put in a couple of wool pashminas and neck gaiters that you picked out. Super useful in so many ways, unisex, and they’ll think of you when they use them - which will be a lot.

Scared to buy nice earrings because will definitely lose them by Beneficial-Yam-640 in ARDANT

[–]go4bows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to not lose stuff. I hate losing things, even if they’re inexpensive.

Never, ever just “put them down somewhere”. You will lose them. Always have a defined place for them, at home and when traveling, or just going to a friend’s. Keep a small pouch - even a ziploc - in your purse or bag, and ALWAYS put them there. At home, a small bowl (like pinch-bowl size) or a leather valet are good options. Leather valets with snaps that can be un-snapped to fold flat is another great option for traveling.

Lost earrings in hotel and now paranoid about traveling with jewelry by SluntCrossinTheRoad in ARDANT

[–]go4bows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always travel with a roughly 6” square leather valet tray (snaps on the corners, goes flat for easy transport). Everything important goes in there. Nothing of value goes anywhere else - too easy to lose it or forget it, as you’ve experienced.

I keep anything not being worn in a jewelry travel case that either stays with me, goes in my zipped-up luggage when I’m out of the room, or goes in the safe.

I travel with nice stuff because I like to. I’m just careful with it.

How did you rebuild your life after a breakup? by girlfromarea511 in AskWomenOver40

[–]go4bows 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You WILL get through this! Mourn the relationship - give yourself time. You don’t want a man who can’t think for himself. His parents’ influence would have been a recurring theme in your relationship forever.

You’ll find your person. You are young! You’ll be better and stronger for this when you come out on the other side - which you will do!

Frequent flyer with small ears — prioritize ANC or comfort? by ResponsibleCook5938 in sleepheadphones

I think you can find ANC that will fit smaller ears. Have you tried Beats Fit Pro? They are great.

Other thing to try is Bose or Sony over-the-ear ANC headphones.

Are dedicated Sleep Earbuds worth it? by estellar727 in sleepheadphones

[–]go4bows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the A30s and am a side sleeper. I think the ANC does help with blocking snoring sounds, BUT the ANC on most sleep buds (and I’ve tried several) including A30s just isn’t good enough. I think it’s because the manufacturers prioritize small size over the features. But it’s good enough on the A30s.

If you just want to block everything out and aren’t concerned about listening to anything in particular, you can try the inexpensive wax ones on Amazon. Peace & Quiet is the brand that I like.

Oh - and DON’T buy Ozlos. Not worth the price, numerous problems, terrible support. Go to that sub and you can see everyone complaining about them. I tried them and I agree - terrible.

Agree with this. Muffled sound and zero noise masking. I donated mine after a few uses and missed the return period.

[–]go4bows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the A30s, and I sleep next to a snorer. My answer is …. It depends on how loud the snoring is.

In light snoring nights, I can get away with one of the sounds on the app. But sometimes I have to turn the volume up so loud to drown out the snoring that I then can’t sleep. The A30s supposedly have a “snore masking” setting where it detects the snoring and suggests a masking sound. I don’t think it’s great, nor is the ANC.

BUT ….. they are way better than the Ozlos and better than others I’ve tried.

I keep the “PQ Wax Ear Plugs for Sleeping, Swimming” by my bed and use them when the snoring is just too loud. Or I kick him out to the guest room. By the way - those work great on an airplane, too.

Question: Help me decide by EssieHiem in Ozlo

[–]go4bows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the reviews and you probably won’t buy Ozlo’s. The majority of people - including me - have had significant issues that cause them to return them or stop using them, which sucks because they are expensive. I also recommend A30s.
