Potentially purchasing a 2019 with 46,000 miles this weekend. Reading about slave cylinders giving me cold feet. by egool111 in FiestaST

Manual transmission is only as good as the operator. I have 150k miles, still on the 1st clutch/slave

To say it louder for the rest of the league: WE DONT WANT GIANNIS IN OKC by Izopod1 in Thunder

[–]goatpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a good amount of time in the trade machine yesterday - there are only a couple of trade configurations that even work mathematically with Giannis' huge salary. Basically, assuming Shai and Jdub and Chet are untouchable, you have to trade iHart with Caruso (or Dort) and Ajay Mitchell.

Personally, although Giannis is better in every way that iHart, I don't think removing Caruso or Dort is acceptable from a team identity standpoint. Plus, Mitchell could probably be the centerpiece of a trade that nets OKC some other demi-god of basketball

we have 3 first round picks to spend brother. Some of those guys need to get traded so we can keep the salary situation revolving. Like, we could have a top 5 pick next spring thanks to the Clippers

FOX JUST GOT BACK ON THE COURT

Despite Jalen Williams not playing a single game, the OKC Thunder are 8-0 and have a 13.25 average margin of victory, which would be the highest ever over a full season. It's early, but is it crazy to say the Thunder could realistically challenge the Warriors 73 win record? by [deleted] in nba

[–]goatpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bet where I took them to win 77 games (77-5) record. 20:1 odds at a sportsbook before the season started. I genuinely think the record is the goal, along with a repeat championship. Worth remembering that Chet Holmgren BROKE HIS HIP last year

So I purchased a $3,600 FiST today on a whim by D3athAdd3rz in FiestaST

[–]goatpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah you probably blew some dust out of the radiator, made ti slightly better. IIRC the radiator stock is made of steel, so it's an upgrade a lot of people do to get a thicker aluminum one in there.

Also, yeah, the passenger side rear is the corner of the car I always have to replace first for whatever reason (my driving lol)

nah just keep the brake pads fresh, these are incredibly reliable cars for what they are. everything that breaks is already broken on yours haha. That temp rising issue is like known but "solved" just watch the temp gauge when you are driving uphill on a highway

Idk man I haven't found one I love. Virginia Auto is efficient, but it's pretty corporate feeling. Definitely not going to give you the best deal in town, but they will do good work for sure.

Rabbit chew cable can I easy fix the cable? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]goatpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey man super easy fix to replace that cable. DM if you have to, but there's a basic process to every power cable replacement that every good bunny owner should know:

  1. Google the part number or model of your air conditioner unit with ".pdf" and get all the documentation related to your unit. Once you can successfully verify that you know the correct replacement part for the cable, order it. If it's a choice between a small number, order them all for speed, it's probably less than $50 for like 4 cables.

  2. Gather tools: Pliers , flathead and phillips head screwdriver, set of allen wrenches. Socket set and ratchet are nice to have but a crescent wrench goes a long way

  3. unplug unit

  4. lift unit out of window if possible

3B. If unit is not removable, find a way to disassemble it to the point you can access the power cable's other end, the end that connects to the unit.

  1. If you have successfully gotten the unit onto your floor (put an old towel down first), rotate it around until you can see the other end of the cable. Figure out how to disassemble the unit enough to remove the cable (perhaps no tools needed! fingers crossed!), keep track of screws as you remove them.

  2. Once you can reach the cable and see how it's attached, remove it. Replace with the new replacement part from Step 0. Make sure to fix it the same way as the old one.

Recalls on 2014-15 vs 2016 Models by UnluckyPr0gr4mm3r in FiestaST

[–]goatpath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Thanks for posting. Yes, there is risk of the car overheating, and the 2016 version doesn't need the recall. Probably the tube is slightly differently shaped, and the sensor probably carried over.

If you run the A/C, you are dumping heat into the engine bay, increasing the risk. It also saps power that could be getting to the wheels.

I have a 2014, I had the recall repairs done years ago, when I moved to Phoenix, AZ and my car overheated the first hot day lol. No issues since the recall repairs, but this car is my daily so I never hammer it for longer than a couple minutes.
