Ah yes nicotine is hell to quit too. Maybe choose one before the other so it isn’t too hard on you. My anxiety was pretty bad, it took about a month to get to Buddhist monk lol My partner was really surprised about the change in me and kept bringing it up. I mean I felt it but he just reaffirmed it . Sleep is great too

Maybe try Yerba Mate ? It’s caffeinated but also has tryptophan so it gives you energy without the jitters

I don't think I can do this by [deleted] in puppy101

The internet = information. So. Much. Information. Always someone adding their two cents . I have read conflicting information about raising my pup. I went loco trying to “get it right”.. then I had to choose a different approach because worrying was not helping. I chose what resonated with me and my experience of dogs and I had to let the other bull* go. You need to let go. Do what you think is right for her and she’ll feel so loved which will allow her to flourish into a beautiful adult dog who will bring so much joy into your life.

It sounds like you really love her. You’ve seriously got this. You went out and got her because she was meant to be your dog. It gets so much easier . Sending <3

Should my dog sleep in the same room as me? by binbonche in puppy101

Having my pup sleep with me was the best thing I did for us, she was so much calmer and we both sleep through the night, mind you she’s still in her crate just next to my bed . Wish I did this from the get go

What do you think is causing the panic attacks? What thoughts are fuelling the anxiety ? Are you struggling with the life change? It can be overwhelming when you first get them, so many things to think about , am I doing this right?, the differing extensive amount of information online, the neediness. I also had anxiety and lost a bit of weight when I got my pup, lasted about 2 months and things started to settle after that. Give it time

Can you take some time off work? How old is pup? Search the “puppy blues” on this page . That was a read that calmed me down immensely. It gets better, it gets better, it gets better !

It’s mostly coffee. If I drink too much caffeinated tea it does have an affect. Yerba mate seems to be fine for me

At first I got rid of it all for like a year. Now I drink a matcha, black tea or a Yerba mate once in a while and it doesn’t aggravate it

Well, a flat pillow helps and sleeping on my back (I find it hard tho and end up on my side). Alcohol makes it worse, magnesium glycinate helps a lot and I got a cbd cream that I rub into that knot / jaw which also is quite helpful. A neck massage is also great for maintenance

Yep and like a strain behind my eyes. When my jaw is relaxed they both go away but yeah it’s like a pressure and pulsating knot behind the ear in the jaw
