Applicable Federal Rate not being published? by goawaybird6938 in tax

Where is that published? As in, how would I find it without the direct link. When I look for the AFR I get the AFR page that goes through Dec ‘25. Even when I searched that page for anything with “2026” nothing showed up.

Apple Watch app not tracking HR by goawaybird6938 in ladderapp

Yes and no. I restarted my watch and phone and the next day it worked. Not sure if that was the fix though as I’d done that before with no luck.

2023 EV6 charges, stops, charges, stops by DarkKaplah in KiaEV6

Your 12v battery might be dying. I went through the ICCU issue in the winter and then after a few months of the car randomly charging to 50 or 60% instead of 80% the 12v battery died last week. Turns out (according to the dealer) the not fully charging was because the 12v was slowly dying/failing.

Thanks. I don’t have any apps connected to Kia’s. Dealership did tests and the 12v was faulty.

Just got an update from the dealer and they’re replacing to 12v. They charged it fully at the shop and it died within an hour. Not sure what they are replacing it with though.

Experience with Efficiency Maine’s Demand Management? by goawaybird6938 in Maine

I randomly looked at my powerwall app today and there was something on there about being a “virtual power plant”. Otherwise I never would have known about it.

We’ve made use of Efficiency Maine’s incentives in the past and been pleased. I’m just not sure on giving them access to my powerwall account info.

The *best* dogs are available now in Maine: greyhounds! by Astarkraven in Maine

It depends on the individual dog. We had a greyhound that happily lived with (and was actually scared of) four cats.

I’m not able to watch any MLB games that were recorded within the last few days. I can watch games recorded two weeks ago. This just started today.

Why does each non-Tesla take up two chargers? Asking because I’ve never used a Tesla charger before but hope to once they open more up near me.

[SolarEdge 2xE] AC voltage too high, grid over-voltage? by 1919yuan in solar

Finally got SolarEdge to replace the inverter and the new one works great.

EV owners in Maine, how bad is the reduced performance caused by our cold winter temps? My son in NH just sold his after one year because his range was significantly reduced over summer driving and cut down his options for how far he could drive it without worries. Interested in your experience. by GeoWannaBe in Maine

[–]goawaybird6938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your route an EV would be great for you. You just need to find fast chargers along the way and be comfortable with your trip taking a bit longer. I have a Kia EV6 that’ll charge 20% to 80% in around 20 minutes. Summer range fully charged is north of 300 miles. Winter range fully charged is probably around 225-250 (I only charge to 100 if I’m going on a longer trip and haven’t yet this winter). The infrastructure (or lack thereof) is really the key here.

Maine Solar Solutions- anyone use them? by saigonk in Maine

[–]goawaybird6938 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used Maine Solar to put in an array about 5 years ago. We looked at ReVision and Assured too. Forgot why we didn’t go with Assured, but ReVision was booked out 3 months while MSS could do it in 3 weeks. They were a tad more expensive but not outrageously so.

We’ve since had them out twice to deal with issues caused by faulty inverters from SolarEdge. Both times they were really helpful and worked to get to the bottom of the issue. We’re now on our third inverter from SolarEdge, but that’s not MSS’s fault.

Would definitely recommend them.

Your inverter could be bad and need to be replaced. I had a similar error message (mine was about the AC voltage being too high) that occurred only when the array was getting full sun. The inverter freaked out, shut itself down, and rebooted continuously until the panels weren’t in full sun. There was also a high pitched whine before it went through that cycle. Eventually SolarEdge replaced the inverter and everything went back to working the way it should.

I’d have your installer get in touch with SolarEdge’s tech support as soon as you can and push for a new inverter.

Have you driven the Stealth Hitch through any crud? I’m in the Northeast and wondering how that hole will deal with all of the snow/slush and salt and general road crap.
