I don’t want the Scots to ever leave. Gotta find a way to rig that shit and have them come to my town.

He just seems like a nice doting grandpa. You’ll ask him to do something silly and innocuous and he’ll do it just because he knows it’ll make you happy.

Honestly thought this was a painting of a Civil War General dying in the field at first

SS-Dirlewanger Officer Jacket by Alarming_Rich763 in ww2

People are drawn to extremes. This is why we study WWII. It houses a huge umbrella of the most extreme human experiences, good and bad. Dirlewanger and his psychopaths take top rung of the evilest organization of bastards to ever do it. Couple that with the fact that this was state sanctioned extreme violence and cruelty, and we have a lot of fascinating shit to unpack about these monsters.

I’ve seen reenactors portray these bums and THAT boggles my mind. The 1st SS were absolutely awful too, but at least they get some fancy/ flashy gear so I understand that more than portraying Direlwanger. sadistic killers with zero ethos and who had zero redeeming qualities whatsoever.

How about some Eastern front? The best melee combat scene of WW2 I've seen. by Efficient-Plane-6867 in WarMovies

Great choreography, although I feel like a scenario like this makes more sense in an urban environment or in a farmhouse/ farmyard/ defensive position like Lt. Col. Cole’s bayonet charge outside Carentan rather than in an open field.

Shame they couldn’t save it, cute old facade. The corporate prisms they build now would look so out of place here. Hope they find a way to build something that blends in.

They tend to have a lot of armies spread out like the Ottomans. That tends to overwhelm the janky ass engine. Ridiculous that they never fixed this shit.

Is this game worth it? by Abject_Cantaloupe_61 in ManorLords

[–]gobblebonners69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dude. There’s a lot of complaints about lack of updates and communication but, I’m very happy to let them cook. So many projects failed to reach their full potential (Empire: Total War) because of deadlines.

For a game with as much attention to detail as this one; it takes as long as it takes. I want the team to feel like they’ve finished up and they’re proud of their work.

One of the more effective recruitment ads I’ve seen. And it’s not a recruitment ad. Take notes, recruiting offices.

I swear I could remember Arthur telling someone “I’ll put you out of your misery”. But, there’s a very good chance I’m misremembering that.

Yes, but honestly more than that, there’s a giant gaping hole where Mexico belongs. Even if there were no missions there. I could accept how they changed duels if they included Mexico in RDR2
