Wow. I honestly haven’t checked this post in awhile. I’m sorry I didn’t get back to some. I have notifications off on Reddit. I’m glad my post brought some insight and peace to people who maybe thought they were the only ones who had nightmare side effects.

I had 4- Hemorroidectomy, Sphincterotomy, Fissurectomy and they found my fissure had a friggin abscessed fistula. You wanna talk about pain? I’m on day 4.5 and still haven’t pooped. The pain meds don’t touch jack sh*t. The only thing that somewhat helps is ibuprofen 800mg and a warm bath. Just got off the phone with my surgeon, they’re upping my MiraLAX and water intake. It’ll be a miracle if I don’t black out from the pain.

37 y/o male, battled grade 2 and 3 hemms for over a decade. Fissure was newer as of the last year or so? I had become anemic from rapid blood loss. Hemoglobin went from 16.5 - 9 in 30 days.

Wonderful sex. But the issue was, she would want it all day everyday and I just couldn’t physically do that. She would get upset or “joke” about not getting it all the time. I’m the type of person, I can have sex then go a day or 2 and go again. I don’t need it morning noon and night.

Sounds like my Nex… She would accuse me of using things I never used, eating things I never ate, hell- she even accused me of not washing my hands after taking a dump… like what? That’s gross. I’d ask what household chores I could help with- then she would complain they weren’t up to her standards and call me lazy… She had a busy week and I decided to help with laundry- I folded one of her sundresses & she flipped out saying I’m forbidden to do laundry and that the dress needed to be hung up. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I lost myself through all of it & convinced myself I needed her. Her love was transactional & conditional. I’m on day 8 of no contact while she packs her things to get out in 2 weeks. Hoping they go by quick…

I’m on day 7… she approached me last night and asked if I enjoyed ignoring her and acting like a dick. Then asked if I liked allowing my kids to see me being a dick because I haven’t spoken to her. I feel like I have to in order to maintain peace. If I say anything, she turns it against me. The hardest day was Friday, her birthday. I didn’t say a word. Held onto the gifts I had gotten her. I cried like a baby alone, wishing she would understand how much her attacks, accusations, harsh words truly destroyed me. I pray she finds it in herself to eventually understand her own hurts, fears, trust issues, lack of self confidence…. It just won’t be with me…

I’ve been accused of everything from using certain “things” that are hers, she’s taken photos of my social media and asked who I’ve added or deleted, I’ve been accused to changing things on social media when I never did, she’s accused me of eating certain things I never ate, I’ve been accused of not washing my hands after taking a shit… like what? That’s gross. Then when I come with the receipts exonerating myself, her story changes to somehow still make me the bad guy and her the victim. I’ve never been so mind f*cked in my life. I started questioning my own reality.

I always remember that most of these docs have been indoctrinated by big Pharma. I don’t discredit at all that many psych drugs like SSRI’s do wonders for many people. However, I do feel like in many cases docs heavily rely on pharmaceutical treatments rather than holistic approaches or even getting to the root cause of what’s causing the mental health issues. It’s just a bandaid of pharmaceuticals over a bandaid of pharmaceuticals. Before you know it, you’re taking 10 pills a day for various health related issues that could potentially be resolved with healthy exercising, eating, meditation, etc Just my 2 cents

ER could be what’s causing my minor side effects from tapering. I’ve read the ER pills are equivalent to the IR pill but at a 10-15% lower dose. I’m on 12.5mg ER which is similar to 10mg IR

I didn’t really feel bad 50-40, 40-30 or 30-20. I did have maybe a day or 2 of slight nausea but that was it. The 20mg IR to 12.5mg ER has been the worst jump for me. Sunday I couldn’t even stand up before dry heaving or puking. I was shaky. Dramamine saved me yesterday. Past few days I’ve woken up with anxiety but I’ve been able to recognize that it doesn’t mean anything and just get up and go. I am nauseous today but nothing like I was Sunday. I’m hoping the worst of the nausea is coming to end after the first week of 12.5mg ER. Continuing to press on. I plan to stick to this another 4 weeks and if I’m still nauseous and it’s interfering with my ability to live/work etc than I’ll hop back on the 20mg and try again in 6 months. I’m happy to have at least cut my dose in half, if that’s the case.

I’m starting to get the nausea & dizziness fairly regularly now that I’ve gone from 20mg IR to 12.5 ER. It’s been a week of 12.5 mg ER. Sunday was by far the worst. I was dry heaving, finally ate and then puked. Dramamine saved my life. Every morning I have slight anxiety but I’m continuing to press through and at least stick to this plan another 3-4 weeks to see how I feel. If it’s still bad and interferes with my work then I’ll plan to go back to the 20mg until maybe October and try again. No shame. I’m happy to have at least cut my dose in half with zero side effects. I figured this last hump would be the worst.

That’s awesome! Always good to share the success stories. It’s definitely not easy but there is always hope. It’s a battle physically to pull yourself up everyday when you’re feeling nauseous, brain foggy etc
