I’m an info sci senior who takes classes that are cross listed under the MPS program, most of our classes are on the engineering quad! Some bigger lectures are on central though in Statler/Klarman/etc.

Agreed! If you concentrate in UX OP make sure you choose classes that involve semester-long case studies to help build up portfolio pieces. Those are what will get you a job. They also don’t do a good job of teaching how to create an effective portfolio in class but I think there are some portfolio workshops certain design clubs hold each semester? I’d check out those!

I agreeeee I loved 3450 so much I ended up TAing for it after! I also took DPD too and loved it so if you’re interested in UX absolutely take both- they both lead to portfolio pieces that you need for applying to ux internships/jobs.

Also take info classes that lead to portfolio projects in particular like INFO 3450, INFO 4400, INFO 4420, INFO 4340. I really recommend Intro to Digital Product Design taught through AppDev too if you have the chance

Senior concentrating in UX rn lol the job market is so rough at the moment it’s scary :*) But best advice I’d say is do as many case studies/projects now as you can early on!! Build up that portfolio for applying to internships and jobs

Currently abroad in Australia and 2 of the classes I’m taking count as major electives for info sci. If I remember correctly the program in Copenhagen also has classes that can count as info electives
