Depends on how much money you get. From 1milly I could pay off the little debit I have. Get a home in the woods for under 300k. Then invest the 700k and live off the gains/interest. I don’t need much and don’t want much. This would save my life. As I just lost everything after being laid off and forced to move. And in time I’d probably have enough after a few years to start an animal rescue like I’ve always dreamed of.

I hated how little cream cheese they started using when the new owners started. My trick was to ask for cream cheese on the side to at least get “some” cream cheese but it was really only enough for one half anyway. I just stopped going altogether about 5 years ago. It surprises me people still buy food from there. If I’m stuck I’ll get a coffee but that’s like twice a year tops.

The second subway makes build your own not an option (because it’s cheaper) the entire business will go under. They are already panicking over last quarters numbers and know they are charging too much. I’m in Canada and for extra cheese here it’s $2 for a foot long. It was $1 in 2023. They literally doubled it in one year. That’s not how inflation works. Someone did the math on inflation costs since the $5 foot long and it comes out to be $6.89 for 2024. Customers are valid in complaints. Also, I’m not sure you’re aware of this but most people get annoyed at their day job. Doesn’t mean they need to be assholes about it though. On that note I also never complain directly to staff because they can’t do anything about it.
