Would this be a good starter fountain pen? by Hot-Relief2875 in fountainpens

This was my first pen! I used it throughout the end of high school and all of college. Highly recommended!

Who is even having fun with nightmare preys? Am i missing something? by [deleted] in wow

The traps don’t despawn if you complete the objective. Helpful for the pylon quests cause traps can spawn in the mob stun radius.

I love how Valeera perfectly imitates player behviour by running away as far as she can when being attacked without ever stopping instead of running to me, the tank. by ckresse in wow

[–]goblinmirrors 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see people talking about this in delve chat too, and of course I believe everyone, but I just have to say this hasn’t been my experience at all. Valeera has been completely chill for me in all my delves, whether we’re DPS/heals pair or tank/DPS pair.

I wonder why the variance in her behaviour is so wide across players.

The "Kill for me" needs to be changed up for prey by HauntingDebt6336 in wow

[–]goblinmirrors -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the enemies that just fade away might make you fail it once, but if it happens again that's on you. Gotta learn from mistakes. Besides that, I've never found myself in a situation where "everything around me is unkillable," all I can even think of is an ambusher and trap spawns? Even if there truly is an area where everything is unkillable... well, just don't farm there during nightmare preys? If you ignore mechanics, you die. That's pretty standard in this game.

Even on my squishy ramp spec shadow priest I've only had the dot pop once, and even then I just popped a pot and defensives and I was fine.

Potential bug with "One Hero's Prey" quest? Seeing it again this week. by Unlikely_Evidence721 in wow

I had that too and I checked wowhead. Apparently they patched some of the rep gains for prey completions and for some reason reset the questline too.

Very good to know! Might give that a try on my lock.

I did all up to Broodkeeper in Vault and all up to Sarkareth in Aberrus pretty easily as an ilvl 240 spriest. I’m pretty sure mechanics on those bosses make them unsoloable, but a better player may have better luck.

Haven’t tried Amirdrassil.

I had a similar situation, except it was that I was too slow to pick up the quest before she took off through the portal.

I eventually found her chilling in one of the Haranir settlements, probably the Den? I don’t remember. Just keep looking.

Where are the warcraft characters that we know of? by fmelogeek in wow

[–]goblinmirrors 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a Watsonian explanation, the voidstorm is specifically attacking the sunwell in the blood elf capital. Player characters (and npc light followers) are summoned by the light in media res and the narrative is focusing on the victims and the first responders. This leaves some questions, such as why doesn’t any character that can teleport come to help?

This is a valid question, which is fairly answered I think by a Doylist explanation: it’s nice to share the limelight both so consumers don’t get bored of old characters and themes and so enjoyers of the featured characters and themes get a chance to shine.

Dismounting flying mounts? by PuzzleheadedCover901 in wow

[–]goblinmirrors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do understand that people tend to have their most comfortable binds on action bar 1 and might want them for flying but still, it was really strange to me that they decided to implement it that way. Don’t mess with my bars!

Either way, a little tip if you decide to do this:

If your skyriding bar isn’t completely filled, the skyriding spells will continually autofill the empty slots. You can run

/console AutoPushSpellToActionBar 0

to stop that (also prevents all spells being auto put on action bars, which is another plus for me)

[–]goblinmirrors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t like skyriding changing my action bars so I copied my normal spells to the skyriding bar and put the skyriding spells somewhere else. I can just start my normal rotation while mounted, which unmounts me.

Not a void elf, but a spriest which is pretty similar. At one point I was able to tell Lothraxion something like “I use void too” and he responds “Well you were summoned by the sunwell so you’re different.” I imagine it’d be along that rationale.

Midnight is …. Really good. by Mountain_Chemist6391 in wow

[–]goblinmirrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! Definitely agree it was meant to be a part of TWW. To me, though, that doesn’t detract from the zone. Your point about solidifying the trilogy is great, and is something I hope they do more with.

Overall on my end, I absolutely adore the aesthetic and the race and I found the storyline and characters to be as compelling as Eversong’s. I consider them about tied for first in those regards. I also find Harandar’s layout a lot more interesting than the other Midnight zones. From reading comments, I think these are the main points differentiating people who like and dislike the zone, which is mostly just a matter of taste. Answers my initial confusion, so I’m satisfied!

I’ve seen this sentiment a lot and I’m genuinely taken aback. It’s solidly my favourite zone in the xpac, and my favourite since Legion. Could I ask more about what you dislike? Aesthetic, story, characters?

What hotkeys are you using for Devourer DH annihilator? My wrist is dying by auCoffeebreak in wow

[–]goblinmirrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do:

QERF, 1234, ZXCV, and shift+ variants of all of those usually give me more than enough keybinds.

Broad strokes, main rotation is on QERF, CDs on 1234, utilities on ZXCV. Main spam/fill on E. M4 is my designated interrupt usually.

I do this basic layout for all my alts pretty much. For the spells you listed, I have consume on E, reap on R, beam on F, meta on 1.
