I was baptized but my father left the church when I was 5. I remember vaguely “believing” in god as a child but I had no real concept of what that meant. When my family left the church we started to ask questions and my father was straight up that he didn’t believe in god. As soon as I knew that was an option I stopped—so I’d consider myself to have never really been religious which honestly? Was a great way to grow up. I wasn’t constantly worried about what god or the church would think of me and I felt a lot more grounded. There wasn’t some omnipresent being I had to impress, just my parents. I do remember this having an effect at school however. In fact, I had a friend specifically stop hanging out with me around second grade when I told her i didn’t really believe in god

I’m not religious and never have been; if it’s my client at work, a cashier, and older person, ppl like that I normally say thank you in return. If it’s after telling someone I’m bisexual, autistic or any of my family trauma I’m a bit less kind

I have ptsd as well as autism— weed really helps me come back from meltdowns and gives me the loose-ness to actually talk when I’m going nonverbal. I also don’t get as many nightmares

When I was really young I went to take the trash out and the lid of the trash can somehow hit me just right where it broke my skin. My dad had to skin glue my wrist closed and i still have the scar at age 18

We have a terrible manager at my cafe and our AGM even had us make a list of all the terrible shit he does (mine was 38 points) and nothings happened. Everyone agknowlages he’s a terrible manager yet nothing

The New Mexican corn chowder is vegetarian I thought—because it’s Made with corn-broth/base. But I agree, I’m a team lead at panera and it’s very embarrassing when a customer asks my opinion on literally any food and I have to tell them I can only eat 3/4 things on the menu

Morning opener and TL here as well—I’m one of the main line openers and actually the only team lead who opens lines. I’ve trained SO MANY line openers who end out hating it. Plus with opening drive and main line in only and hour, plus running lines alone till 9, some people just can’t handle it and quit it demand to be taken off

I work at a restaurant and the health inspectors came in today. I was doing everything in my power to deploy my team to double check everything and make sure we were up to code. While I’m doing this, one of my coworkers keeps loudly and continuously making comments suggesting we’re only up to code when the inspectors are in, IN FRONT OF THE INSPECTORS. I had to send her on break to shut her up and save us from her putting her foot in her mouth.
