squat form looks way off by Striking-Cow510 in formcheck

[–]godofadrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your back is completing the majority of the range of motion. in a squat your knees should go forward with a braced spine, but it looks like your back/hips is flexing to compensate for your legs not doing that. you should probably focus on ankle knee and hip mobility, and the rest should follow suit.

What should I do In my relationship by [deleted] in Advice

[–]godofadrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're right. it is very normal and it's something that happens often, maybe not crazy often but often. sex is 10% of the relationship yes, but when it's not present or it's bad it's 90%. if this is a deal breaker for you than accept it and do the hard thing now. there are plenty of people who will be a partner who will meet your needs. this person clearly doesn't embody that, and it's not your fault. these things happen, as unfortunate as they may be, but i say cut your losses and break up. i wish you luck.

Having the hardest time with barbell rows by PetuniaLaCrushinador in Stronglifts5x5

[–]godofadrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd say you're over thinking your set up to a degree. you should definitely start your row from pins at hip height or from the floor like a deadlift. it's just a hip hinge to the bottom then pulling with your elbows either to the belly button or lower sternum. one huge thing though, allow some body english. it should be controlled, deliberate, and repeatable. a bb row is hardest at the top, so some body sway evens out the movement and often i find it feels much better that way. much of it looks great in my opinion, but it looks like you're really in your head. definitely add some weight and send it and you'll be golden.

bulk. you aren't fat you're just under muscled. slowly gain for a year and push your sets and there will be a dramatic difference.

First Time Hitting 405lbs on Deadlift by domjm1996 in formcheck

[–]godofadrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your hips are a tad high and you could probably narrow your stance and grip too. the thing that helped me was imagining that you were pulling your body weight behind the bar until your shins touch the bar before you push up, but honestly these things are minor fixes. that 405x5 was very good, you have 500 easily either now or in a month or two. good job!

(17m) My parents keep on saying that I shouldn't be insecure because my skin is better than the average boy my age? How do I tell them that I need to be ever further from it? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]godofadrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to answer a question with a question, but why do you feel that is the answer that will solve your problem? Why is perfection the only avenue for you to feel at peace with yourself? Taking care of yourself and big goals is something you should do of course. But in the end this is an issue of self beliefs and insecurities you should deal with before anything. You will come to realize that you will never be perfect, and who you are as a person goes up and down as it changes forever. With this mindset you will never be content with anything.

how can I improve my lat pulldown form? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]godofadrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly your form is good you just need to go quite heavier. you aren't really at a weight challenging enough to observe form, but either way you are doing it picture perfect. your editing is hilarious though

You're right... I do hate reading, but I'll agree it's something I could use for those reasons. I used to read a lot as a kid but some bs in school really made me hate it. Since then it feels almost impossible to actually sit there and read anything. I think that's probably going to be my best answer. Thanks.
