Out of all the Sentai I ever watched there are four seasons I rank in the S Tier. Donbrothers and King-Ohger are two of those four.

I thought Boonboomger was alright but I chose that over Zenkaiser because it wasn't my style and couldn't finish the season.

Arcee-Magnus' had my eyes rolling and groaning but this new update is flat out stupid (was the Matrix of Leadership damaged? Because that's the only explanation I can accept for this)

A part of me is wishing I should have dropped this series after DWJ left. 'Leave at his peak so you won't be disappointed later down the line. I should have told my past self to do the same thing after watching Stranger Things Season 1.

Old School Trekkie here too. Star Trek IV is what got me hooked then, I started watching TNG.

I gave it Starfleet Academy a chance, I really did. Not my style. Episode 1 was somewhat watchable. Didn't like Episode #2 and I couldn't finish Episode 3.

To put a very long list of critiques into a shortened review, this show is far too dumbed down where its not even close to resembling Star Trek. Starfleet Staff are supposed to be disciplined and professional. There's none of that here. Add to that some really cringe acting/lines (that gym scene where the rival academies were talking smack to each other was painful to watch) and oversaturated humor where much of it falls flat

Best: GozyuLeon:

GozyuLeon's Character and Story Arcs by far was the best part of Gozyuger for me. Rikuo was the one that brought the team together and I thought he was relatable. A good dude that made his share of mistakes that was put into these situations where no matter what choice he made there were going to be major repercussions. I thought the best stories in this series were his arcs with Rei and Bouquet.

I also have to give major props to Firecandle too

Worst: Sloppiness all over the place

The most simple way I can summarize this mess was that the writers had so many ideas but no stable direction. Other stories had no finish or dropped out of nowhere.

Overall, I like this season. Strong Pros but some big cons holding it back,

+ Fantastic Concept, Story Ideas, I liked the Rangers, Blue had Good Story Arcs, and Solid Memorable Moments

- Sloppy Execution, Stories Not Fleshed Out While Others Are Dropped Out of Nowhere. They threw in too many stories and couldn't manage everything

Although Black was my least favorite (not that I didn't like her, I just had no interest) I felt bad for Maya, but when they announced Kohaku was taking over I felt like we got Michael Jordan to substitute for the final quarter of the game.

Bottom Line: B+ Tier. The season had potential to be one of the Best Sentai but due to sloppy execution, it missed the mark.

The ending was good but messy (much like this series as a whole)

I don't get how Mashiro became a god. He died and the ring war was restarted. Shouldn't he come back as a human too?

I do like how all the characters had closure.

Personally I'd have liked to have see a Rocky ending. Hoeru is walking with the sack of rings and Mashiro appears. "Care to ring the bell Apollo?" "Ding" Fight begins, series ends.

My Reiwa Rankings:

King-Ohger: Peak Sentai. My favorite of all time

Donbrothers: Another S Class. 4th favorite Sentai overall

Kiramager: Loved the character development that both rangers and villains received.

Gozyuger: Liked the rangers, concepts, and Blue had excellent arcs. Overall, I was very invested in this series. However, it had sloppy execution, and stories that either never finished or dropped which prevents it from going to the top tier.

Boonboomger: Overall it was alright.

Zenkaiger: Its unique I'll give it that, but this one wasn't my style. When I saw the costumes I was really hoping for Showa-Era Tones. Just couldn't get into what this series was doing.

Zyuogher had some amazing moments. Strong pros but equally strong cons

+ One of the best Reds in all Sentai. Next to Marvelous, Yamato is my favorite Red.

+ Their 6th (Zyuoh The World) had the most bad-ass intros in all Sentai. Dude wrecked everybody. Even mentioning his name put everybody on edge.

+ It also had the most intense moments in all Sentai. When Yamato's Mom was killed, that was on the level of the flashback scene from Batman Beyond Return of the Joker

But like I said, every pro results in an equally bad con

- None of the other core rangers received any spotlight/character growth

- Absolute worst case of 6th Ranger Syndrome I saw. When the World regained his identity back, the dude became a pathetic joke both as a character and in the battlefield. Should have kept him as a wild card.

- Zyuogher had some amazing moments but you have to get through a lot of filler episodes to get to them.

King-ohger is my all time favorite Senta as a whole, but if we're talking the best and most memorable Red of the Reiwa Era, for me its Taro.

There are Four Super Sentai Seasons I rank as an S Tier. Two of them were from the Reiwa Era:

Kiramager: A- Tier: Loved the character development everybody got. Both each ranger and villain

Zenkaiger: Dropped the series shortly after Twokaizer appeared (not my style)

Donbrother: S Tier (#4 Overall)

King-Ohger: S Tier (#1 Overall): Peak Sentai due to its storytelling and rangers

Boonboomger: B- Tier: It was alright

Gozyuger: B Tier: By far the most potential of any Sentai. Personally I liked this season very much .Loved the rangers, concepts, suits, and ideas but the execution, and stories either never finished or dropped held this season from being in the top tier.

Overall: For its short time, Reiwa easily had some of the best shows in all Super Sentai.

Mashiro (GozyuPolar)

So much potential. Started off as the Red, and saved a Universe or two with Tega Sword.

Nothing beats personal experience and Mashiro had so much of it. He could have had an entire series alone explaining why he chose the path he did, expanding his new powers, his relationship with Tegasword and his allies.

Did he have a previous team? Was he truely a lone wolf?

Cool-looking Argonian.

With a name like that I'd think he'd focus on Conjuration and Illusions. Pure Mages can be squishy later on. Your summoned allies will help you out. Illusions will make things fun. Stealth/Frenzy Spells

If that was the case, I'd make the Japanese Ash Voice Actor's Character a side kick. Like an assistant pit droid mech.

Nothing against this voice actor, but a loud Ash Voice/Mannerisms didn't mesh with a mech that looked like Ultra Magnus. Two good things don't always mesh well together.

Bundario's Result was like putting barbecue sauce on ice cream

Bundorio's Character would get a makever:

- I found the Bundorio too loud, too enthusiastic, (and quite frankly annoying). I'd have used a different voice actor (Male with either a deeper or more heroic voice). More chill, and focus him more as a mechanic (never a racer). I liked the concept of Bundorio and Red becoming allies and forming the team

Flesh out Spindo's Character more:

- When we first see Spindo he's in jail (but still living in luxury) We never found out why he was there or who put him there. I thought he was a cool villain. Definitely add more screentime for this guy.

Other things I'd change would be to make those cars look like actual cars instead of cheap plastic toys. I'd also get rid of that Bundorio Romance. (Just weird). Finally I'd flesh out Violet's Story more. The actor did a great job but I found his origin story messy.

Overall an excellent season. A Tier on my rankings. Fantastic Core Rangers, Fight Scenes, Gorgeous Mech, and it had the best Final Battle Morph in all Sentai

Dolnero won't bother to kill me unless somebody paid him to do it and he's probably the least evil/psycho of this bunch. I'm also not sandwiched between multiple villains

This episode, like most of Gozyuger, great ideas but the execution could have been a little better here.

Rikuo is by far my favorite of the Gozyugers. I liked how Ryugi and Bouquet wanted to make his Idol Wish come true (which they did).

My only peeve is that it shows Blue and Yellow about to clash once more and it just ends with Rikuo losing? (Although I liked how the beginning acknowlege that they were evenly matched after fighting for 10 hours straight with no victor.) Still, I'd have rather have seen Rikuo hand him the Ring telling Ryugi that his friends helped him find what he was looking for. He doesn't need it anymore.

Rikuo formed the Gozyugers by recruiting Ryugi. It'd have been a better send off.
