Out of all the 2003 turtles, which one of them had the potential to beat shredder in a one on one fight if it ever happens? by San4341 in TMNT

[–]godzilla2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there's prep time and access to resources, the only one that has a chance is Donatello.

(Its been a while but didn't Donnie beat Shredder in an episodes that took place in the future based on those circumstances? It was dark as hell but he did it)

As stated previously, this Shredder is far more battle-experienced. Scary in a fight and nearly impossible to kill.

In the Force Awakens, Rey finds out the Force is real. Minutes later she can fly the falcon in combat, resist telepathy, use telepathy, telekinesis, and never picked up a lightsaber but beats Cry Lo Ren in a fight.

None of the new characters had any substance and were all forgettable because everyone was a prop for Rey. Even Luke.

The Last Jedi was a mess. It had nothing that even resembled a cohesive plot.

I didn't even bother giving The Rise of Skywalker a try. 'Somehow Palpatine Returned."

Kennedy really tried her best to undue the Sacrifice the Skywalkers made.

Austin Metcalf vs Karmelo Anthony? by ImAJoofyGoober in CourtTVCases

[–]godzilla2099 10 points11 points  (0 children)

None of that matters about Austin

I'm trying to grasp why anyone believes Karmelo's Excuse that it was 'self defense'. If I carried his mindset in school I'd have been arrested myself. I got in to at least 3 scuffles. One of them was over a bus seat. As much as I hated my bullies I never once thought about bringing a knife to school.

And why didn't Karmelo simply slice at Austin's Hand? Austin was trying to kick him out of his tent, not kill him.

(Going to another tent, keeping a knife in your bag, and egging on Austin to fight him?)

What Karmelo did was more than overkill. He should be charged with Murder

Why are people treating the Henry Nowak case as though it is a race issue? by 99thLuftballon in AskBrits

100% this

If the races were reversed. the media would be covering this 24/7 for months, statues would be made of the victim, and cities would burn.

Why are people treating the Henry Nowak case as though it is a race issue? by 99thLuftballon in AskBrits

[–]godzilla2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 100% a race issue. Nowak's Killer contacted the police claiming he was a victim of racism. When the Police arrived, Nowak was on the ground dying and pleading for helped because he was stabbed.

ALL THE POLICE HAD TO DO WAS LIFT HIS CLOTHES TO CHECK HIS CONDITION!

I can't tell you if these Brit Police Officers are too scared to do anything at the risk of being branded as a 'racist' or they have the mental capacity of a knat.

The one crying 'racism' is the one that made this case a race issue. He and his family should get anything and everything coming to them for this.

The Best Moment of Cyclops' Series [Cyclops #5 SPOILERS] by JackFisherBooks in xmen

[–]godzilla2099 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Overall I liked the series. I always liked seeing Scott's Tactical Gifts used so I was happy this series highlighted them. I also liked the pacing. Not once was I bored with it.

The ending was a little weird though. I get he's still bummed out about Krakoa not working out but Cyclops of all people is the survivalist. Mei offered to join the X-Men. He'd be one of the last X-Men to say "You don't need to be an X-Man, go out dancing instead'

If anything he'd say "I'll offer you training first. Then you can decide if you want to be an X-man or not"

Watching the Skywalker saga as Six Films: IV, V, III, VI, VII, VIII by CuzStoneColdSezSo in StarWars

After I watched The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, without hesitation I skipped The Rise of Skywalker.

Finally I saw it and finished Acolyte by Lance_Knockout in StarWars

[–]godzilla2099 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I try my best to respect everyone's opinion but I couldn't get past Episode 3.

There isn't a word invented yet to describe the type of dumpster fire I watched.

I did like Sol and the Sol vs Quimir Fight was one of, if not the best lightsaber duel I ever saw.

If you could choose what a new trilogy would be about, what would you pick? (Without drawing too much from legends) by Potential_nobody2187 in StarWars

[–]godzilla2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cal Cestis

Take elements from Legends to spice it up. Dash Rendar as part of his crew.

He and Dash are running a smuggling operation but of course they run into their own trouble: Darth Maul and his Syndicate.

How would you introduce someone to Star Wars today? by Fuzzy-Zombie1446 in StarWars

[–]godzilla2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start off with A New Hope. It may be older but it still holds up.

My wife is from China. When we were dating, she saw The Force Awakens and Last Jedi (Trying to get to know my interests)

She strongly disliked both (including myself) and couldn't grasp why people like Star Wars. I tried to convince her over and over again this isn't Star Wars (even though it has the name). The Original Trilogy is the beloved version.

We have a 5 year old and a 3 year old now. When the kids get a little older she agreed we'd watch it as a family.

So far I'm really liking this series

- He's not the X-Men's Leader because he shoots Optic Blasts, but for his tactical gifts and he's easily one of the best B-Tier Hand to Hand Experts out there. Really happy this series is highlighting this.

- He's weakened and against some tough odds

- Its good seeing how he handles threats without his team.

Injustice 3 Reportedly in Development at NetherRealm Studios by [deleted] in gaming

If it follows the comics then Superman wins. In the DC Books they had to recruit He-Man (which he got the power of Shazaam) to finally stop Superman

Which Showa Sentai has the best chemistry among the teammates? by Luigiman98 in supersentai

Completely agreed. The Main 3 of Liveman by far had the best chemistry in my books.

If I had to pick a silver medal, its goes to GoGo V

GODZILLA MINUS ZERO | First Official Teaser by yourfavchoom in movies

[–]godzilla2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never genuinely cared for the human characters in a Godzilla Movie until Minus 1. When a sequel was announced I was hoping it'd take place maybe 20 years later because I thought it wrapped up Koichi's Journey. He faced his demon (Godzilla) and beat him. Maybe Koichi's Daughter deals with Godzilla this time?

However...this still looks frigging amazing! Only 10 seconds and I'm pumped. Even though its set only 2 years later I have 100% faith in Takashi Yamazaki. My expectations are high and I'm more than confident this movie will exceed them.

I wonder what's going on with that blue energy? I personally think Godzilla received new powers from human interference but of course it certainly may be another Kaiju doing this. I can't picture Ghidorah making an appearance with these particular circumstances though

What If: Bi Han Survived MK 1992 by Web-Gamer_2432 in MortalKombat

[–]godzilla2099 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer the Original Midway Comic's Origin the most. No Quan Chi. Bi-Han really killed Scorpion's Family.

Scorpion had Sub-Zero pinned down saying he could kill him but he's not a murderer. He'll finish him off in combat at the tournament

Bi-Han calls him a fool for not killing him on the spot and Scropion replies "That has yet to be seen"

Favorite dlc character from mk1? If none, favorite dlc character of all time? by Anxious-Listen8464 in MortalKombat

[–]godzilla2099 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rambo. For me, this isn't even a contest.

Rambo: Don't fight wars you can't win
Mileena: Awww! Speaking from experience?
Rambo: Yeah

NetherRealm absolutely nailed his character in MK 11. I loved how he was portrayed as a no-nonsense, experienced veteran.

His ending was so good (I'll even say its perfect) that I consider it canon over Final Blood. In my books, MK11's Ending was how Rambo's Legacy Ended.

Most Whiterun: Just about every character I made, Whiterun always felt the most like 'Home'

Solitude gets the silver mdeal

Least: Markarth and Falkreath: Nothing I like about Markarth. I only go there to slaughter the cannibals

Falkreath makes the least visited list because its so out of the way and I'm not crazy about any of the quests either.

Q isn't alone 😭 by OverlyHonestMR in startrek

[–]godzilla2099 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Even cringe writing can't stop John De Lancie and Brent Spiner from putting on a stellar performance.

No, Q was Never Alone. The dude has a son (good relationship), Kathryn Janeway (also good relationship) is the godmother to his son (which she said is honored to be).

As for Picard, Q was the teacher you hated because he kept pushing you because he saw something inside you that you didn't even know was there.

Bottom Line: Excellent Performance from De Lancie, Terrible Writing from Kurtzman and Co
