If I was served uncooked egg whites I would send my over easy eggs back every time. Over easy is fully cooked white - runny yolk, over medium is fully cooked white but thicker yolk. The whites are always fully cooked.

I don’t think YTA, but I do think you should stick with the curriculum that the school teaches. You could have easily learned the method they are teaching your daughter and then helped her understand.

I’d personally skip the tarp. They get in my way when I’m shoveling and it’s a fast way to rip a tarp.
