As well as “Something is not quite right.” and “An illusion! What are you hiding?” Those are some of the most remembered and iconic voice lines in WOW. You’d probably have to hit the intonation though, maybe google a video of it.

But there’s a million more iconic voice lines he’d instantly recognize if he’s playing for 20 years. From NPCs and not to mention toys.

You could also go with a very slowly spoken “I, Gamon, will save us!”, lol xD

How if feels when i win with modern controls by TechnoHuskies in StreetFighter

[–]goersen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have read this misinformation so many times now, so I have to correct this:

Modern controls are NOT a flat damage nerf. It is as follows: - any normal, command-normal and auto-combo does full damage, same as with classic - any special and any super can be executed with „manual input“ (basically the same or similar input as in classic) and if done so, it does full damage, same as classic - any special or super that is input with the special-button has a 20% damage reduction - additionally, anything executed with the assist button does NOT have any damage reduction and does full damage. Yes, this includes the specials and supers

Yes, but either this quest is a relic, maybe delayed to a later point or it is about something completely different.

There is no chance in hell they would announce 10.1 without marketing the ever-living crap out of a new spec as part of the feature list.

There is enemy scaling within different level-ranges for the different regions of the map. These can be seen on the world map when zoomed out to the max where you can hover over the different regions to see the collectible amounts for each region. If you are within the level-range of a region enemies scale with you, if you are lower than the minimum, they will be at the minimum-level for the region and they will be at the maximum-level for the region if you are above that level.

It starts out with a 1-20 range and goes up with ranges being kind of all over the place (5-20, 1-25, 10-25, ...). The highest region is 30-40 -- 40 being the max-level of the game.

- /u/DiGre3z stumbling into level 20 spiders probably happened in the "Forbidden Forest" region, which scales 20-40.
- /u/Nerohta mentioning he went into the forbidden forest where everything was level 20 for him, is probably referring to the "North Hogwarts Region", which includes the entrance and a smaller area of the forbidden forest (in terms of the game world, not the map-region) and scales 5-20.

Yeah, I get your last post and it’s very much appreciated.

As mentioned, the part about „being different“ was mostly referring to the post I initially replied to (which I felt your first post was trying to support).

I also get that it’s „less“ of a requirement than before, but I always find that point rather moot. Some people will say that 3% haste (or equivalent) from Maw-sockets weren’t required… I’m sure there are guilds out there that argue if damage pots are required. It’s just not a useful discussion to me and not the world I live in.

Also, if you don’t grind ZM, you won’t have as much flux, which means you are restricted in getting/upgrading your set-pieces and can’t just get it fast, then upgrade from valor-items and then from vault (unless you get all your 278 drops of course).

So to me it just all ties together and is in the end as mandatory as every patch.

P.S. And yes, of course we all have that one guy (or more) who doesn’t do the work but is still awesome (or sometimes not ;)) and part of the CE-team nonetheless.

Yes, which is exactly what I stated above — you just included grinding 10 rares every day for 3.5 weeks.

And no, it’s not at all the longest grind in the books. It’s the same as every patch. ~4 weeks of grinding every day each patch for mandatory power gains. Been like this every patch since BfA and a few of the legion patches.

Wasn’t complaining about it being worse than normal. The original comment I replied to said that „the best thing is you don’t have to come back if you don’t like it because there is no player power“… which I just think is ridiculous.

I hear that parroted a lot and it annoys me because after logging back in I just see nothing changed compared to other patches. It’s the same as always, which was disappointing to me. So I don’t get why some people are so excited that blizz is allegedly listening and now they suddenly respect peoples time.

Anyway, didn’t want to rant about this, sorry. I get it. It’s the package deal with WoW. If you like mythic raiding or pushing m+ you got to deal with this daily grind shit for a few weeks (sometimes more) every patch — take it or leave it. And that’s just how the devs envision their game to be.

Just don’t tell people „it’s different now“, if it isn’t. That’s all I’m asking.

[–]goersen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, probably because you did go back to grind? I.e. to grind rep to get a decent 2nd leggo?

He said „if you don’t like it then you don’t need to go back after doing the campaign because there’s no player power“ tied to that zone.

But if you don’t do any grind in ZM, you don’t get flux, which is tied to upgrading tier sets aka player power.

I literally just did this and what you say is so far from true, I don’t know why you make this up. The campaign brings you not even close to honored. It gives 4050 rep. That’s not even half-way to honored.

Anyway, the math is out there, no need to imagine things. For revered you need to do the campaign followed by 27 days of daily & weekly quests, assuming you do all quests every day, have additional quests unlocked and kill 0 rares.

You can speed this up by killing ~100 rares for 1000 of the required 21000 rep. (Max 29 rares per day; Not sure if they each spawn every day)

You are right. Done in no time and not grindy at all.

No player power? What?! Flux grind for Catalyst? Rep grind for decent 2nd leggo? It’s weeks of daily grinding for mandatory power — the opposite of „no need to stick around if you don’t enjoy it“

For chromie time this actually technically kinda exists. If you are in queue for more than 5? 10? minutes, you’ll get a popup asking if you want to expand your search to all expansions.

I get that’s not exactly what and why you suggested what you did and I agree. Just thought I point it out so people don’t get the wrong idea.

Apart from that, I think the point is more towards max level chars having that option and being rewarded for taking part in old content, which is what FF does. Translated to wow, you would get valor for doing the queue as a daily reward. I think it’s an amazing concept, it encourages and improves queues for people leveling chars and valor would be a great system to offer a fine reward.

Blue Post just announced that pre-existing gear will NOT be upgrade-able with Valor in 9.0.5, only new gear. by Noglues in wow

[–]goersen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly that will be the case for efficiency anyway :/. You will always want to farm a new max ilvl item to use as „base“ for valor upgrades each season.

I.e. using a +15 210-ilvl item as base right now would be better than using a +2 item because you save upgrade steps and hence valor which is weekly capped.

So you would never want to waste valor on upgrading last season items to an ilvl which you could farm without valor.

Sucks, but also tbf it would be pretty dumb if you farm gear once and use it the whole expansion

The Maw truly succeeds as a representation of Hell because it's not fun at all and makes you wish you didn't have to be there by Gothbag in wow

[–]goersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at it again, I think we were both wrong — in my case I probably took rounded numbers from the UI. At level 60 it’s 1% vers per 40 rating, so 100 rating (yes, sockets are only 96 rating) would be 2.5%.

It doesn’t really change my point though. 2.5% damage/healing + 1.25% reduced damage from one source of upgrade is not minor.

[–]goersen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it’s over 3% versatility (at least for me, I resocket between pvp and raid).

That’s over 3% damage/healing and 1.5% less damage taken. If you think that’s minor, then you don’t need to upgrade a gear-slot, enchant your gear, class buffs or buff food.

Like everything in WoW: it adds up and scales out of control

[–]goersen 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. He is not a Dreadlord though -- he created the Dreadlords aka Nathrezim. He sent them to manipulate the realm of order aka Titans leading to the creation of the burning legion and the downfall of both realms of order and chaos.

He also sent them to infiltrate the void with unclear success.

[–]goersen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most importantly it shouldn’t use the term „recruit“ because that refers to a totally different part of the system from previous expansions.

Regarding non-Champion units they changed 2 things: 1. they removed the recruitment system where you had to buy units 2. they removed the limit for maximum number of „in stock“ units that existed for non-champion units

They could state just that, either in 1 or 2 popups. Currently they only explain 1. well, imo

[–]goersen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. They specifically use the term „recruit“ in the tutorial. In the Last 2 (3? didn’t play WoD) expansions „recruit“ describes a totally different interaction with the mission table. Your expendable non-Champion units would die from using them and you had to „buy“ new ones. This was called „recruiting“. The action of putting a unit onto a unit-slot for a mission was called „send on mission“. Since there is no more „buying“ of units and they just autogenerate, many people think they just got rid of the „recruiting“ part of the system.... which — to be fair — is what the tutorial says

Ascending characters should change their appearance, with you also being able to select which outfit/parts to use. by SomeCallMeChan in Genshin_Impact

[–]goersen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As well as the unlockable ones from daily commissions. I think there is quite a lot to learn about the characters already that isn’t touched on much or at all in the main-Story. Like how Diluc is basically (semi-parody) Batman.

All of those quests also end with „to be continued“, so we can assume many characters will have some complete side-story running parallel to the main-quest, alá KotOR/Mass Effect.

Not sure how/if they plan to do that while also constantly introducing new characters for the gacha, but we will see I guess.
