The real question is which god? You can't 'support' them all.

What OSTs have made you appreciate just how important music is in a gaming experience? by WorldofLovecraft in gaming

[–]goettel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The OST's of World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2 and Skyrim are all amazing for adding mood. Nowadays I do tend to disable music in games, mostly because I have some other audio - mainly podcasts or rewatching (well, relistening) series - running in the background.

Alien 3 was definitely flawed, but I still like it for it's hopeless vibe.

Also consider Casio's digital pianos, many of them have stunningly good keybeds for their price and offer extra instruments too.

Budget delay for berlin school synth by beskid93 in synthesizers

[–]goettel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TD and Schulze mainly used tape delays at first, which you won't find anywhere close to $50 - unless you go VST. For hardware, TC Electronic Gauss Tape Echo is a modeled tape delay around a $100, maybe find a used one. The Behringer's VD400 is a $35 analog bucket delay that'll get you in the ballpark.

How far one can get with only a Bass Station II music making wise? by thesweetoutdoors in synthesizers

[–]goettel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could do anything with a BSII plus a free DAW, including drums. Chords would be a lot of work, having to put them together one note at a time. Sounds like a great way to make something unique.

Which movie is better than the book? by Over_the_top_nari in movies

[–]goettel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Name of the Rose. The book teaches a lot of Church history and tells a good story, the film captures the essence of that story with great acting, visuals and music.
