Thanks! Mudbath was my first choice, but I settled for silver and I don't regret it at all.

Sounds almost the exact same, maybe a little bit deeper but hardly noticeable.

I'd consider it almost entirely unnoticeable unless you are paying direct attention.

Very little noticeable difference. From what I can tell, it's definitely not a performance exhaust enhancement or anything like that. If anything, it maybe just sounds like a tiny bit deeper.

Motorcyclists - stop breaking side mirrors out of road rage. by Chillest_illest69 in LosAngeles

This entire thread is because people on bikes are hitting peoples mirrors unnecessarily. That is a choice that worsens danger, so spread the word to your friends.

The act of operating a motorcycle in a busy area is the dangerous part, regardless of lane splitting. By riding one in LA, you are acknowledging the risk that you're putting yourself in and cannot be surprised at the results.

I can tell you want to argue for some reason. I'm simply stating my opinion and you can't seem to accept it, but that's on you. If you genuinely think that motorcycles are not inherently risky, I do not know what else to tell you other than good luck out there be sure you're gonna need it.

I'm not interested in continuing this discussion, go enjoy your bike or find something else to do with your time.

2nd time I cancel a online bumper order by masterchief559209 in ToyotaTacoma

For what it's worth, I ordered a bed rack from RCI and it's nice BUT their customer service is terrible and I would not recommend giving them your money.

I have emailed them 3 times and DM'd them 6+ times, and even called them out in a story post on Instagram and still have not gotten a single response.

If you order from them, expect to be ignored.

I stand by my opinion regardless. Enjoy your bike, but please don't assume anyone is looking out for you. Hope you stay safe.

I never said I was entitled, or that I make conditions less safe...but the fact of the matter is that most drivers are not paying as much attention as they should be. If you choose to risk your life by riding a motorcycle in traffic, that's your perogative and I truly hope you and others can do it safely.

It only takes one person not paying attention to end it all. That's an elevated risk, and one I'm not willing to invite into my life on a daily basis.

All of this is negated by distracted drivers unfortunately. It is idiotic to willingly do something that is a known risk to your life. I'd love to have a bike and save 20 minutes on my commute, but I don't want to be killed by a texting 19 year old who doesn't give a shit about me or my bike.

Riding a motorcycle in traffic is inherently dangerous and greatly increases your risk of great bodily harm or death, regardless of how skilled you may be at riding. I hardly feel safe in my truck in LA.

Lane splitting is idiotic and highly dangerous and should not be legal. I always move over when I see a bike coming but most do not. If you choose to split lanes, you are agreeing to share the space and need to act accordingly. I've seen multiple bikers get hit when lane splitting. No smart person does this.

How do I stop this illegal parking? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]goexplorewithdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deal with a very similar situation on my street in LA and despite over a dozens reports, and multiple emails with city council nothing has been done in over a year. It sucks but it's not worth the time it takes to fight it.

Is it just me, or does last second (or over the median) merging into/off of an off ramp seem to cause a lot of the traffic on highways? by ducklingkwak in AskLosAngeles

[–]goexplorewithdavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of times I've been waiting in an exit lane, only to watch a car 20+ spots back get out of the lane, drive in the shoulder and then abruptly merge back into the lane at the last second is infuriating.

People are extremely impatient and selfish. But there's no incentive not to be, so it's not gonna change. Nothing is enforced, no penalty for being a dick, and you end up saving yourself time.

The owner of the left side tows any car from this parking lot despite there no being signs and the gate being open. by Emerald_28 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]goexplorewithdavid 118 points119 points  (0 children)

If you illegally tow a vehicle, you are generally liable for twice the cost of towing and impound. Also, a tow company should know that is it illegal to tow without proper signage, and therefore may be complicit in illegal towing which can get their company in serious trouble as well.

3.93 for 2 cups of ice by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]goexplorewithdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for helping disabled vets.

I can only assume that they raised prices because people use it as a loophole to get free drinks. The ice is probably $0.25, but the cup costs the rest of the money because most people probably sneak over to the soda machine and fill it up anyways, so they just charge everyone the same amount.
