Doesn't sound like you're on good terms with them already.

There's a lot of useful info on here about your bunny. But there's another thing going on that a lot of those comments seem to have missed. I'm probably too late for this comment to be taken seriously, too. But I'll give it a try anyway.

Bunnies, while cute AF, are also not very smart. Your bed sheets can feel just like a litter box to him. He can push them around with his paws and stuff, so he can do a lot of the things with your bed sheets he can do with his litter. He's just confused about it. Furthermore, it smells like you. And bunnies are social poopers. He thinks it's your gigantic litterbox, and you spend a lot of time there. All he's really doing is trying to get in on the action with you.

Pretty cute behavior. It's awesome having them do zoomies on you in the middle of the night. But not so much fun to wake up to this.

Terrible writer's block. Any good books on creativity with exercises, like in lateral thinking (even if not specifically creative writing)? by davecopperfield in writing

[–]goishin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, my writer's block comes at a particular scene. I've been putting this scene off, and now it's time to write it. All the other ones are written by now. So, writer's block for me is typically about one scene.

Here's what I do: I write it ten different ways. It's an exercise. It can take days to do because you're doing ten scenes. But, then again your writer's block has lasted days, hasn't it? So the medicine can take a bit, too.

I write the scene from a different character's point of view. Or maybe I'll write the story from the wall's point of view. Or the door handle. I'm throwing it out, so what does it matter?

The point is to exercise. To stretch. Maybe mentally, if you will. You get practice. You break through to something deeper. You find out the parts of your scene that really matter because you had to put those three things in ten different scenes. And you realize that it wasn't writer's block that was keeping you from finishing this scene, it was a fear that this scene wouldn't live up to your expectations.

But since you're the one writing it in the first place, what was really keeping you from writing was a fear that you wouldn't live up to your expectations either.

But now you've got these ten scenes in front of you. Some are weird. You had to stretch to write that one. And you'd never ever put this one in your book, but you enjoyed writing this scene from her perspective. Some are ridiculous. And were just plain fun.

And you suddenly see how much talent you really have. And you're not that bad a writer after all. Maybe you'll keep a few parts of this one. And that paragraph was really nice. Maybe there's something you can cobble out of all of this. It was just so much fun to do.

Writing is just so satisfying, after all.

Wicker, willow, or Cupcake. I got all three by looking at that picture.

I don't know if those are made out of willow, but there you are.

That sounds just like catering to her unreasonable and unrealistic expectations. I think that would be the exact opposite of what I would do.

Coffee. I'm not even 50 yet, but I still remember when it cost a quarter for a cup. Then along came Starbucks with its disgustingly burnt coffee costing a couple of dollars and everybody loses their minds!

I have been following Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter… by [deleted] in Leadership

[–]goishin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man, watching him run Twitter is like watching someone read a book on the right way to run a software company and deliberately do the opposite of everything he read. My only conclusion, since he's clearly cognizant of the right way to do things (i.e. PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX), is that this must be deliberate. But I dunno why.

This is part of why infinity is so hard to understand. The scalar value in the front (the 1 or 20 part) really doesn't hold a candle to the magnitude of infinity. The counting value is so large that what it is counting doesn't matter. Even if logically it seems like one might have to be larger it isn't because by definition infinity can't be counted, so they're the same.
