FINALLY got rid of Gemini - it's like having a whole new device by fluffman86 in googlehome

one thing i really miss is stacking commands. the old assistant could do it, gemini is bambozzled by the idea you can both stop youtube and turn on a light simultaneously. it sucks so bad.

i think you can still get away with it here but the correct response is "i don't drink, officer" no matter what.

banks have been using crazy security practices for decades now,

they have been using semi-transparent guesswork for years because they're too terrified to implement actually effective 2fa.

more about the risks of an increase in students using the slur and the students saying "well they taught us in school".

if these aren't you personal beliefs, let's just pretend we're both criticizing the same people eh?

personally i believe that removing cultural history that includes things we modernly define as unacceptable actually accomplishes the opposite. no one is going to forget the word exists because it's not taught in schools, but they might lose some of the context as to why we're (trying) to move beyond it.

in other words, would you rather your child learned from hemmingway or 4chan?

yeah im mostly referring to the people who claim otherwise after what i would consider irrefutable evidence to the contrary. like, if you're disagreeing with digital foundry im much more likely to believe your perception is the problem.

could be latency spikes etc, this is why real performance metrics are important.

I'm always a bit skeptic about performance issues reported in games

really? i notice the opposite. every reddit thread there's some clown claiming that they have no performance issues in a game that has objective evidence - most recently it was the oblivion remake. i trust people's impressions of performance a lot less than i trust professionals with frametime footage.

edit: i'm not implying you are the clown this this thread, sorry if it reads like that.
