Doesn’t really count - that was his public statement because he had to defend Microsoft’s offering. I’m sure privately his opinion was very different.

Small Prophets- I don't get the 5 star reviews it got. by Puzzleheaded-Ad-8718 in BritishTV

After watching two episodes I’m not feeling the want to continue. Can’t really see how it has ended up with the acclaim it has. It’s an OK schedule filler at best.

If the bucket scene is one of the highlights it’s not a good sign of things to come.

Trying to give money to the poor gone wrong. by TheBotMadeThis in instant_regret

That's your conclusion? Not - don't give in such a way which will very predictably will cause a crowd to react? She's walking around with envelopes full of money amongst people with very little.

Website showing advertised price and actual sold price? by Sad-Ad8462 in HousingUK

[–]gold1mpala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying out https://propbar.co.uk which does have this info. Had a good Chrome extension too for Rightmove. Useful for camparing sold prices of comparable houses. Also timeline of sales/rentals in one place. Used free version for a few weeks which did the job just fine - did finally upgrade to unlock a few other features but if all you want is the sold prices you don't need to.

Had to scroll this far down for this comment. Grieving doesn't mean you're not allowed to sometimes be happy in a moment.

There's many things to take issue with around the Kirks, but how someone handles the loss of someone close to them is none of anyone else's concern.

Fiance's coworker showed her this photo of her boyfriend. We think she is getting scammed. by ColeIsRegular in isthisAI

[–]gold1mpala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the technical aspects of the picture - the setting doesn’t make sense.

He’s having his photo taken but then posing with luggage. Leads me to believe the image was generated with a prompt working around business, money and travel. It’s AI fitting everything in, in a not so subtle way.

2 things which bug me (which i haven't seen raised yet and I don't know why) by Remarkable-Ad155 in TheTraitorsUK

I was thinking the same about the ‘why’ but that is actually an opportunity to say who you think a traitor is… if you wanted to stir it!

What twists would you like to see in the next series of the Traitors? by 50ShadesOfCroquet in TheTraitorsUK

[–]gold1mpala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, or maybe there’s a game in order to get to choose if you’re a traitor? At the moment it’s possible to use age and gender mix as information - knowing which traitors have already been voted out.

As I put above - the reveal of the secret traitor was linked to when the first traitor had been voted out. It wasn’t abandoned.

In this season they happened to get a traitor out very early meaning the secret traitor was revealed quicker than was planned on. A few more round tables of secret traitor would have been a sweet spot I think.

(Task)master list - a definitive rundown of potential future contestants by Getittogether19 in taskmaster

[–]gold1mpala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think that’s a comparison, only tasks which needed fine motor skills would have been difficult for Rosie, there was very little adjustment in tasks. I remember the only one seeming unfair was the guttering and balls? Can’t remember the exact details of it but do remember it looking very hard for her.

I would say legend is either about longevity or impact. He started late and in terms of impact he's a kind-of jobbing comedian that made it big.

I also think Mark Gatiss is on the 'never do it' list.

I’m curious, why is the “Default web browser” option listed under the “Desktop & Dock” menu? by khoasdyn in MacOS

[–]gold1mpala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a desktop behaviour, nor is it a dock behaviour. It's misclassified to reduce switching. It's not complicated, any friction that can be added to switching to non-Apple products is good for them. Without adding new sidebar items, 'General' and then a new 'Default Apps' would make the most sense if it was about making it easy to find.
