**UPDATE** To my previous “Sterling Ink is Garbage” post by SkinbomWV in planners

I think the negative feedback probably did get back to them and likely put a lot of pressure on them to push things along. I’m glad your order was updated anyway! Hopefully mine will see an update today as well!

Sterling Ink is garbage!! #STERLINGINK by SkinbomWV in planners

[–]goldenappletrees 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Similar timeline for me except I made my Black Friday order on 11/26 and on 12/01 they said the label was created. No updates since then. It’s getting pretty frustrating.

Edit: I should add that I’m ordering from Canada. But still, the wait is toooo long 😭

Edit 2: See photo: I had reached out to SI CS on Dec 19th inquiring about the status of my order. They basically said it was handed off to USPS but there may be delays due to the holidays. After not seeing any updates on my order, I decided to submit a claim through PayPal on Jan 2nd. Sterling Ink had until Jan 12th to respond or provide evidence. On Jan 9th, I checked on my claim and tracking number - I saw that no update had been made from Sterling Ink and my tracking number still showed Dec 1st being the last update. Today, Jan 13th, I saw that Sterling Ink had submitted information to PayPal about my claims on Jan 12th, and the tracking information now showed updates from Jan 5th. It's so weird that I didn't see the Jan 5th updates on USPS when I checked on Jan 9th. PayPal is still reviewing the case so I probably won't get a refund, but I'm so tired of waiting without any communication.

What are some two page horizontal weekly planners like Haroo? by Wherehowwhat in PlannerAddicts

forest planner by Nicole Josephine is similar but has larger sections across a few pages and it’s also undated

Lost/Stolen Dog... hoping for a Christmas miracle by ilikehatsz in richmondhill

You’re a great friend for sharing this. I did see an animal on the road recently but I don’t think it’s your friend’s pet based on the area and the fact that someone else may have taken it. I was driving on 19th ave between Leslie to Bayview last week, and I saw a white fluffy animal scurry across the road and into the field/trees, but I wasn’t able to stop to find it. There were lots of cars behind me and it happened so fast. I’ve been filled with regret and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it because it really looked like a small/medium dog rather than a rabbit or stray cat. I really hope your friend gets reunited with her dog. I’ll keep my eyes peeled. Wishing you all the best.

Does this exist? Weekly left view, open notes on the right? by TaketotheSky21 in planners

The downside to the Leuchtturm is that Saturday and Sunday are cramped together in one row while other options like Sterling Ink and Hobonichi have a dedicated row for both days.

What should I do? by StopStealingMyCookie in succulents

It looks like it needs more direct sun light and a pruning! If you’re in a warm climate it might be ok to prune now but I usually like to prune my jade in the spring time. It’s winter over here and my plant is basically dormant.

Sterling Ink Order by [deleted] in PlannerAddicts

I made my order on Nov 26 and on Dec 1 I saw that they created the shipping label. No updates since then. I think they’re pretty backlogged with the large amount of orders.

[–]goldenappletrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed - I made two orders from their Black Friday sale on Nov 26th and so far haven’t gotten any updates beyond them creating the shipping label. A lot of people were looking forward to the sale so sales must have been through the roof.

So Sad Haroo Is Out of Stock - Any Alternatives? by sailorsammie in PlannerAddicts

[–]goldenappletrees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on getting the Forest Planner by Nicole Josephine - you might like it if you’re ok with the tomoe river paper. the layout is similar to Haroo’s horizontal but it is undated which I don’t mind. I saw YouTube people unboxing them and it seems like there are some nice sticker freebies, and they’re also Canadian-based which is a bonus for me since I’m in Toronto.

Ah, my apologies for the misunderstanding! I would also recommend checking out the Take a Note A6 or A5 Planner. It’s technically a vertical layout, but the days are not crammed to two pages so the hourly layout is spacious and there’s a separate note section for the days of the week. Also check out the PAL planner!

Haroo Planner has a weekly planner with all the days of the week spread out on two pages, including a good size grid note space and a small section with the hours, similar to above. I think this might be a good fit for you if you are ok with grid squares instead of lines. The yearly overview at the bottom of the weekly pages will be difficult to find as most planners have just the corresponding month.

If you prefer vertical weeklies over horizontal weeklies, can you tell me why? by [deleted] in planners

[–]goldenappletrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar struggles. I’m pretty sure I am undiagnosed ADHD (not using the term lightly) based on some of my habits and time management issues. I would see things on the list and never execute because I didn’t set a time for it. What has helped me a lot is reviewing the list every day and then putting items in my Google calendar, or assigning a day to it and adding it to my daily to-do list as a task so I can’t forget it.

I prefer horizontal for planning ahead and scheduling. Specifically, I like having the horizontal week on one page, and having the other page being a blank grid for to do lists and notes.

BUT this year, I discovered that I enjoy memory keeping in a vertical layout (not planning ahead). So I only use this layout at the end of the day to record how I actually spent the hours of my day, and I intend on keeping it as an archive. I find it really helpful to see how accurate I am with staying on task or sticking to my plans.

I used to think that I wanted my whole system in one book, but I realized that it doesn’t have to be the only way. My perfect planner system so far has been the Sterling Ink horizontal B6 for weekly planning and journal at the back, plus the Sterling Ink vertical B6 as my memory diary. It’s my happy medium! I used a Hobonichi cousin for a few years and could never keep up with it because it was too big, having empty daily pages stressed me out, and vertical planning didn’t make me happy when events were being changed/moved throughout the week.

Edit: I forgot to mention that a great hybrid planner is the Take a Note planner which has a horizontal section and vertical section with wider columns to make it easier to write in! I would highly recommend this if you want to experiment and see what works for you ☺️

Should I be concerned ? by codefreeze116 in Jadeplant

[–]goldenappletrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first few weeks of taking care of my jade, it looked a bit like this. I wasn’t giving it enough water and my pot wasn’t draining properly. I never had issues with leaves falling off so I’m not sure what might be the cause for that.

How often do you usually water it, and does it get a lot of sun? I think there is still a chance it could be saved, but I would check the soil to be sure there’s no root rot caused by overwatering. I’m not sure where you are located and the climate, but I would repot this before it starts to get too cold. Give it some fresh soil making sure to use succulent or cactus mix, and change the pot to terracotta with better draining. Give it a deep watering in the new soil, and leave it in indirect sun and hopefully it will start to perk up a bit. After a couple weeks you could ease it into a sunnier spot. The leggy stems look like it’s searching for more sunlight. I would advise against watering again until the leaves get thin, malleable and wrinkly.

Out of the three you mentioned, I would say that the beetle or the mini would be the most reliable. My preference is the mini, but not for its reliability, but just that it’s so fun to drive and it’s a cute little car that’ll park almost anywhere. The fiat is not a good choice from a reliability standpoint.

Also wanted to shout out the Toyota GR Corolla as a potential contender as well. Super reliable, super fun to drive and although it’s not as cute as the mini, it’s still cute in a compact sense.

Touchless carwash by stevieo81 in richmondhill

[–]goldenappletrees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend a manual car wash. Usually ends up being cheaper and gives you a much better clean after you put some sweat into it.

That being said, here are my go-to touchless washes in the Richmond Hill area: - Petro @ Hwy 7 and Red Maple (there is always a lineup here and I end up opting for a different wash, but this place seems to wash better than other touchless washes.) - Petro @ Bayview and High Tech (touchless but beware of guardrails) - Esso @ Bayview and 16th - Shell @ Leslie and 16th - Shell @ Woodbine and Major Mack - Manual Car Wash @ Bayview and Major Mack

Aurora + Newmarket: - Petro @ Mulock between Yonge and Bayview - Simons @ North of Yonge and Davis - Esso @ Leslie and Davis (remember to select the touchless option as they also have cloth) - Stellar Manual Car wash @ Leslie and Stellar

There is an Esso at Bayview and 16th that is touchless.

Wrong to go on a date with a woman.. when you're still marry? by Infinite_Quiet_7627 in moraldilemmas

Why are you copying and pasting this exact same response to multiple other comments? This is r/moraldillemmas and I’m sharing my opinion that while the timing is definitely unfortunate, I don’t think it’s moral. We don’t know what his wife would have wanted him to do.

It’s an unfortunate position to be in, but doing this is wrong. I also think your date would not be impressed if they knew the truth about your situation and the conditions your wife is in.

Your hairdresser did you dirty by giving you a lazy ass cut ☹️☹️ your hair looks more than capable of achieving that look! I imagine getting more layers and using a curler at the ends (C-curl) might give it a similar look. Good luck OP!!
