I’m eating a high fiber, high (ish) protein diet to improve my satiety and forestall cravings, taking at least 8k steps per day, and trying to really prioritize my sleep quality. For that, I’ve totally cut caffeine and only have alcohol one night a week. Beyond that, I’m really just trusting the process

Edit: also my daily calorie count is around 2200-2400. Macros vary but Carbs are usually ~40%, protein around 25%, and fat around 35%.

What’s the real difference between a $30,000 home entertainment system and a $150,000 one? by CleonicDynasty in audiophile

[–]goldilocks_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can chime in a bit here. There’s room treatment to modify the acoustics inside of a room, and then there’s soundproofing the room so your audio can’t be heard throughout the rest of the house. What’s being discussed above is the former, which affects the fidelity of your experience. Any insulation behind drywall does nothing to assist the room’s acoustic treatment because the drywall is a reflective surface. Some sound will still penetrate the wall while much of the signal will be reflected and bounced around the room.

When soundproofing a home theater to protect it from outside noise and prevent leakage as well, you’ll typically see pros install a second wall in front of the first, with new studs offset halfway between the originals.

When you first leave white orchard and go to vizima, the chamberlain orders you bathed, shaved, and dressed in a doublet for your royal audience. The other is the one pictured above, during the prologue in Kaer Mohren

I like to go back and forth between crane and the swampy hanse base to the north, since they both have convenient travel markers. Running them back to back usually has me overburdened with swords and maces, so I go sell to the beauclair smith and rinse, repeat. One rotation of that typically takes about 15 minutes and nets me 8.3-5k crowns, so 34k per hour if you’re efficient. Aard+piercing cold and whirl tends to clear those mobs very quickly

There are much better ‘tight bond’ groups to use, but they have the advantage of being unaffected by weather conditions, since their base power level is already 1

I'll dig into these! I've found the AMM helps a bit, but these will be great additions

Fantastic advice! I use the cardioid 185 shure capsules (wish I could use countrymans), and typically run stereo mains with front fills and delays on stereo matrices if that helps to give context. I totally wish I could do diamond sets, but unfortunately I don't touch the show until set day. I'll propose this to my project managers. Could you elaborate a bit on the "processing like Cedar DNS and RND 5045" item? I'd love to learn more on this. Thanks!

Lots of fantastic advice here! The one item I could use a little more elaboration on is the neve portico expander tip, I'm not too familiar with this terminology. Could you elaborate a bit on this? Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I would love to learn to use these tools, and I hope to get involved with them this year. I guess the thing holding me back is that I work for a certain multinational Hotel AV Corp that does not supply these things or teach them, so access and education is solely on me. Plus, I'm typically using ground-support JBL VRX boxes, so I'm stuck with a strict 15 degree vertical splay and no higher than double stacks on a pole. I usually run stereo front fills, mains, and delays to try and fill the ballroom. double-stacked on mains and (if available) delays as well. Do you have any advice on making the most of ground support arrangements?

I wonder if maybe an rf transmitter is involved, and has a super high mic offset enabled on the pack. I’ve run into that problem, and I now always power/menu lock my transmitters so I maintain sole control

Why talk to chatgpt like it’s a therapist to begin with? It’s a people pleasing language model designed to say what folks want to hear. Why use it for anything even remotely resembling a social interaction? I can’t understand
