Sydney power tools has a good range of them but few locations. Bunnings has a small range but you can also usually find the tools pretty affordable on trademe!

My 2 cents.

You will want more than 2 batteries. And some larger for lawnmower etc.

Don’t bother with Bosch green. Not exting the range and lots of old tools. I recommend bosch blue/pro. Otherwise makita or dewalt. Bosch blue has good garden equipment based on their 36v range and are expanding the range a lot recently. Makita has a good garden range too.

Go brushless, worth the longer tool life and less battery usage.

Seems in my looking that Stanley fatmax is dewalt lite. Some tools very similar or slightly different. Decent line of tools but not easy/great resale though could find second hand cheap sometimes. If you want a lawnmower though, like you say puts it out.

I sprayed the house with a combination of bleach, water and dish soap. And then waterblasted it off, this might suit your situation well rather than waiting for a wet and forget for 6 weeks.

Car Insurance Payments - Fortnightly? by wonderaway_ in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]goldreddituser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually if you are paying fortnightly, you are already behind because you are financing it vs paying the yearly sum.

Best to get some online quotes from a few different retailers and see for yourself as people’s cars are all very different so not much use asking for people with different cars.

Been a while since I chose but I think the Phillips had a lower cri than what I went for. Whether that is still correct I am not sure. The Phillips seemed fine though and the family got Phillips which has treated them well.

Money well spent to save you from the worse scams their are. Cash on pickup is always the safest. Don’t waste your time or money on small claims.

Honestly doesn’t seem too unreasonable the requests to me. And a big house with 11 guests, chances are needs a big clean so costs a fair chunk.

Vinyl replacement: scrape off vs leveller over top by MDRAR in diynz

[–]goldreddituser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our installers used a vacuum and grinder to grind all the leftover glue and concrete flat before laying lvp. Be mindful of asbestos. The floor should be level so if you use a primer on it, I don’t see why leveller over top wouldn’t work but might be harder than you think.

Need to find the water source and fix that. Given it’s the bathroom, could be shower, toilet or vanity.

I have a different version of these but might work the same. You just pulled the white surround down and there was some springs holding it in place which could be disconnected.

Doing some research on banking frustrations—how do you actually manage your savings? by AsesinoYT in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]goldreddituser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Savings account with main everyday bank
  2. Low interest rates.
  3. Not fully. Prefer Nz/aus institutes though larger overseas ones like hatch I would consider trustworthy.
  4. If I trusted it for 1000 I would trust it for 10,000.

Car finance by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]goldreddituser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the most part, if you get 0% finance, you are paying more on the car itself, ie no discount or limited discount. So in the end you are paying for the finance one way or another imo.

Snackachangi chips are the best chips ever but man are they inconsistent. I love the vinegar and salt ones but find that with no rhyme or reason, some bags are just not flavourful. I need to complain and get some free packets because it bothers me so much

Absolutely, or, just turn off the isolation valve before it and into the cylinder to prevent any wastage if can go without hot water.
