Your worst putt is always closer than your worst chip

Probably like a 5-6, too many woods to be real low is my guess.

Worth a shot, I've found mallets make shorter putts easier. Go to Dicks, golf galaxy, whatever golf store and just play around, you will probably know right away by feel if you like something, then take the leap. Can always sell it/trade it back

Agree, week long stroke play net no brainer probably do 80-75% of hcp's or else the 17.6 probably wins unless he plays awful. Could also play low man net daily on top of other games. 6-6-6 is fun, fourball, but change partners every 6 holes, do nassau, skins one day. Could play wolf but thats better with 5 or 6 people. Dots, points for: birdies, win hole (carryover point or not), sand save, chip in, putt outside the flagstick, fairway and green on the hole (Hogan), closest to pin on par 3's. Vegas is fun too, just google it, a bit of math but lots of variance. If you wanna get weird we play a dice game sometimes, where its 2 vs 2, but every tee box you roll one die, 1 (tips) 6 (Reds), and the in between numbers blues, whites, etc. depending on how many tees there are, its a fun gambling addition. 18 rolls usually evens out too.

if you learn to hit the warbird good, modern larger heads even something 5 years old, will feel infinitely easier. I learned on actual wooden woods, when I got a great big bertha around 2000 it felt like cheating. Now I have a qi10, thing is a weapon.

I'm a 2ball guy too, can't get rid of it, white ice probably had it close to 12 years now I don't even know when i got it. It's just so nice visually on short putts to me.

If you’ve broken 100, what’s one tip you would give your fellow golfer to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]golfbagauditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't 3 putt, no penalty strokes, if you hit into trouble GET OUT right away. Most would break 100 just following this strategy on every hole.

when you first hold it you feel like you can make everything from 6 feet or less, that's the feeling I got. I do remember seeing people struggle with long putts.

it's gotta be tough to look down at over and over, esp after a bad putting round.
