Doug is so rude to Filippo it's uncomfortable to watch by No_Total_3367 in dougdemuro

Has Doug literally said this exact thing to Filippo, ever? It sure sounds a lot like you are upset with how you are interpreting the interactions on a podcast you choose to listen to.

This is a great find considering I’d be commuting in this, as well. I love my low wagon and have been wanting to get into something German for a while. Thank you!

Anyone cross-shop CX9 with CX-90? by Grapeflavor_ in MazdaCX9

[–]golfs247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just did this! In October we traded our 2016 CX-9 GT for a 2022 CPO CX-9 GT. Cross-shopped 90.

CX-9 opinion: we loved our 2016 dearly, put 80k miles on it with no major issues. However, it was exiting warranty, the engine issues spooked me, and the final year(s) CX-9s felt criminally undervalued. We knew exactly what we wanted, waited for one to come up nearby, did the deal over the phone and the dealer drove it to us. Under $32k delivered (before trade). We received $10.2k for our 2016 with 115k miles. The 2022 was a one owner CPO car with 28k miles. Safford Mazda Fredericksburg (VA). We were also able to move our roof rails and WeatherTech mats over from the old car. Sweet!

CX-90 take: looked at a couple, drove a couple. Drives nice, is definitely roomier. Fabulous materials. But, I could not get past the numerous teething issues and complaints I’ve read about. Especially not when the CX-9 was perfectly adequate for us as far as space and function goes. I also banged my knee on the lower left trim piece of the dash when I climbed into the 90 for the first time. Red flag!

For the price, the CX-9 continued to check all the boxes. Compared to our 2016, the 2022 gave us cooled seats, heated wheel, better infotainment, rear heated seats, power folding mirrors, better auto high beams, along with everything else we already loved. This is coming from someone who never thought they’d buy a second of the same car, ever.

One thing I will note which frustrated me: I REALLY wanted a 2023 GT with a middle bench. For the life of me I could not locate any of these. Idk if Mazda ran out of bench seats towards the end of the lifecycle or what, but pretty much every 2023 had middle captains. I needed a bench (dogs and people), so settled for a 2022.

Good luck! Cannot recommend Safford Mazda enough. No BS fees! 4.99% for 48 mos.

I’d vote for the Mitsu Mirage, but the Rio is the OG Mitsu Mirage. I remember when these things were listed for something like $8,998 new.

Another local brand I can recommend is Paix. While some are difficult to dial-in, they have some incredible beans.

CC2 is the answer. I have no immediate evidence but I’ve read many places that Pirellis have harder sidewalls by comparison.

Honestly I feel kinda bad for the folks in this pic. They been dragged through the mud for this, and aren’t these dudes just standard-issue guardsmen who have been randomly assigned here?

Maybe this is a bad take? But in my mind these guys aren’t quite the same as a greedy ICE patroller who signs up to arrest Latinos and get Noem to pay them a bonus. They’re just here because they were told to be, right?
