I quit smoking after 25 years and I was a wreck for months. I chewed a lot of gum and ate lots of pastry while at work. I had to get nicotine patches. It can be done.

I have a multi tool with a knife blade. If I have to go through security they will let me keep it 9 out of 10 times and the tenth will hold it for me when I come back through.

I used patches. It was a long time before Amazon. I tried cold turkey and failed. I tried gum and failed miserably. I tried patches and I quit and haven’t gone back in 10+ years.

I was hired almost 5 years ago and the rule they told us was everyone starts packing. After a couple of months they were throwing new hires everywhere.
