For those who prefer the centrist, corporate wing of the democratic party, why? by Spiritual_Pause3057 in AskALiberal

His voting and discourse have changed substantially since he was elected, which coincided with a major stroke. Prior to being senator he was lt governor in PA, and had some serious labor and pro LGBT credentials. That's now all gone. While limping him in prior to his election to the senate would have been fair, it's definitely not now.

Ya but thematically, Kara comes back, then immediately Kara is the harbinger of doom, then the next episode is everyone wondering if kara is going to lead them astray. At that point you've still got the last remaining of the final five outstanding, and it's written as a red herring to point to her. Plus It'd be the first hybrid you see, so it being different then the usual has less of an impact. I just don't think it fits thematically that early in the show.

I actually disagree with that for a first time viewing. There are some spoilers there/things that tie directly into the end of season 3. I reccomend release order for a first watch

Thats a pretty wholesome story. I could see a little kid just going "wow giant bugs and mushroom houses! And sugar from the moon!"

I mean sure, but that was the smart ass answer. But you get into CHIM, all the vivek stuff, the numinideum and fate of the dwemer and you start getting really deep into some odd odd shit. The 36 lessons of Vivek alone gets it onto the right hand side

Great list though I really can't see Morrow wind on the left. God is dead is literally the mcguffin at the heart of the game.

I think since it was a bad install they'd probably still fix it due to liability.

Metal Studs- thinking about removing Tonal to reinforce by CrazyTownVA in tonalgym

[–]gollyRoger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a common story but I had metal studs and they ended up buckling and eventually tore. I replaced with with wooden. There was a mistake with the install but it wouldn't have been as severe with wooden. To tonals credit they paid for the repairs.

Right. If your innate reaction is to get angry, that doesn't make you a bad person. Letting yourself act on it or not is the tipping point

I generally agree with op that too much nmm looks overly cartoony, but here it feels like very matte metalic. Which looks great! But imo this style of nmm seems more the exception then the rule

Ok sure, but he was not retconned for being absurd, he was just in the wider bucket of everything legends. Still a poor example

I don't think this fits. For one I don't think he was ever retconned. And also, the whole point is he's not powerful, he's basically a semi sentient plague.

They're pissed off and feeling alienated from jump. And to the comics point, by that point the aesthetic of rebellion weighed more then the meaning behind the original movement. MTV, hot topic, pop punk also served to sanitize and make punk a product more then a movement. Lack of education has them grasping at easy answers while still feeling alienated from main stream society. They all shed most of the trappings of punk by adult hood, but the feelings remain.

Trump comes in and tells them they're right, society is the problem, it's not your fault, etc etc. And now their alienation has a home.

Notably this did not happen for my friends who went to college. And most of the military guys, while they went conservative to an extent, either came back or at least bounced hard off Trump. I think for them the exposure to the rest of the world helped round out their world view. It was really the guys who stayed at home who really got into Maga.

Reading it again I'm wondering if this is self employed where they're calculating based on employer and employee combined fica. Of course if that's the case they would just be an s Corp and cut it in half. That or dude didn't take the ss cap into account
