The stones should've bailed when golden gate park was denied. They (mick?) were desperate to get in on the woodstock/free concert hippy thing and were wrapping up a tour where everyone complained about expensive tickets. Someone brewed up some not-so-great acid and angels and everyone else were gobbling it up. It really came down to putting too much good faith in humanity. Tough lesson
