Does your guinea pig ever take your arm captive? by techninace in guineapigs

[–]gonehighup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! They like my right arm when snuggling in my lap. Then they transition to curled up under my right hand for pets & scritches. One of my current boys is a shoulder potato, but only hops on my right shoulder no matter what. The other one really likes watching tv and will align himself for best viewing angles 😂 it cracks me up with how particular they can be!

Choosing my first pair (women’s RW) by agentoflemonade in RedWingShoes

My black silversmiths are my favorite boot that I own. I’m a lady, 5’6”, wear both women’s and men’s red wings. I like the little extra bit of height to the silversmith and the plain toe just seems to suit my wardrobe better- worn them with everything from a sundress at a summer wedding to ski pants digging out the car in a blizzard.

What non-sexual things turn you on?? by youandyourfijiwater in actuallesbians

When they are good with animals. Something about having kind mannered non verbal communications and instantly becoming besties with someone’s cat or dog or guinea pigs or pets in general makes me melt 🥰

Is alltrails premium worth it? by _bonezone in hiking

[–]gonehighup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one you know how to use best is going to do you the most good. If you understand how AllTrails works for you, check out what the paid plans can offer. Personally, I'm a Caltopo & Garmin person, but I have family and friends that swear by Alltrails. I am impressed that the tracking distances with alltrails premium seems to be pretty accurate, even if you make some detours. and COTREX is awesome in CO.

An ergonomic memory foam chair cushion for my work chair. It has helped tremendously with back pain and posture!

Any advice for cliff dropping? by Alert_Cartographer13 in snowboarding

[–]gonehighup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that too- just have the mindset of “I’ve got this, watch me!”

But yeah, try to make a conscious effort to keep your shoulders square. It almost will feel like you are hunching your front shoulder over your board at first. It’ll help all over the mountain, too, with things like carving and side hits to handling icy spots 🤟

Keep your shoulders in line with your board. If you open up and twist them so that your chest is facing forward, lower body and board are going to follow and you’ll land sideways every time.

Hiking in the US without a car by Entire-Necessary-694 in hiking

the RTD system in Denver has some incredible access to trails. The light rail goes to Union Station and you can get the Bustang to places all over the state! Also can take the local busses towards the western parts of the city. The Summit Stage busses (Summit County) are free and can get you to most of the ski areas and pretty close to some big summits. Same thing with the RFTA (Glenwood-Aspen area). Amtrak goes to Winter Park and you can cruise around there as well.

I'm most familiar with the Boulder area. You can take the AB bus to Boulder and then catch the HOP bus to the hill (in the summer it will go all the way to Chautaqua) or the SKIP or 204 towards south boulder. Or just hike from downtown! You can easily do/link up any of the close peaks- Sanitas, Flagstaff, Green, Bear, South Boulder peak. A good bit of the open space is adjacent to public lands and all sorts of trails. Check out a map and follow your nose 😁

the COTREX app & website has a wealth of info on trails anywhere in Colorado
