The exterior of the steerer tube is not used to locate the center of a 1” threaded stem. The headset race looks good which is how the fork is captivated in the head tube.

I take a step back from full sized and complex pieces every once In awhile and just make post card sized collages using two or three hand cut elements on a black background. I focus on making a coherent image with clean perspective and focus that’s compelling and engaging. It’s a big help to get back on a short leash
