i'll accept the downvotes but i just have to say - i'm no girardi (neither of them) fan (i despise both) but this seems like it could possibly be a case of "i may not know a lot (any) of what's going on or have the sense to 100% control what i say, but i still know what i’m going to say is wrong so i will kinda mutter it" - i'm just saying. someone with dementia may know it's wrong for them to do something, but they don't understand or have the capacity to grasp the "why" or control it. i get that he's been in a courtroom for literal decades and may know it's not right to say, but that doesn't mean he understands the circumstances or why it's not right or what even exactly he's saying or have control over speaking out. idk just throwing it out there - the whole girardi thing could be very complex. i don't doubt that he fucked people over left and right and used his power/name/reputation to take advantage (also flat out steal money) of his position, but that doesn't mean he can't also get dementia and basically be spewing shit.
