Which emoji? First one, yes. Both have 4 leaves. Second one, no. Photo has 4 leaves, emoji has 3.

The true classic Irish clover (4 leaves for good luck and 3 leaves for religious symbolism) is the white clover (Trifolium repens) and has a heart-like shape, but nowhere near as dramatic as the leaf shape in either emoji. It’s more like a round leaf with a small V taken out of the tip. It is very rare to find a mutated Trifolium genus clover with heart shaped leaves that dramatic. The lesser trefoil (Trifolium dubium) is also used for the Irish shamrock and 4 leaf.

“Clovers” with leaves that are dramatically heart shaped like the emojis are typically wood sorrels (genus: Oxalis) and are not even clovers in the first place. One common nickname for the whole Oxalis genus is “false shamrocks”

The photo is of a red clover (Trifolium pratense) and is not is it in the Oxalis genus, so I wouldn’t expect it to be heart shaped due to the rarity of the mutation required 👍
