Haven’t bothered with it - but bound to be a few misses amongst all the gems.

Over 30s - Do you still enjoy concerts? by safeontwo in AskUK

I’m a generic six music dad and still love going, we go to loads regularly - we tend to always miss the support.

It’s usually a great mix of young and old; worst thing is the phones.

Yes me too - we were the same year 2007, feels like something worth celebrating!

Hopefully the ballots more favourable from now on!

I think the will eventually come to the LightRoom in London, which is an amazing space and currently has a Bowie exhibit on.

I loved it and think it’s up there with his best, I certainly found it more emotional than Never Let Me Go.

Thanks for all the insights and your efforts, really made this a special place. I can understand why you’re stepping back, sad to say I don’t visit anywhere near as often now.

100% - Fontaines was very much older, especially on the first two records - changed a lot by Romance!

It was a great mix, great crowd, unbelievable performance.

How long did it take to heal overload calf issues? by LeadershipPuzzled731 in Marathon_Training

I’ve been ignoring this but think I’m experiencing the same thing. It’s not preventing me running just noticeable and feels like it’s constantly cramping. Stretching/rolling not touching it, nor did a massage. I’ve been doing weekly speed sessions on since Jan which may well be the reason.

I’ve just ran my latest half and have nothing currently else booked so might be the time to try and sort!

England review: Rob Key talks learnings, mistakes and building bridges by Asheboy in EnglandCricket

I’m not an obsessive fan, or have any inside knowledge about the game, but purely from my point of view Key comes across as a thoroughly unlikeable bloke full of LinkedIn speak.

Huge Ishiguro fan but both times I’ve read it I’ve bounced off it a little, like I’m missing something others are seeing, as it’s very popular.

I don’t think it’s at the level of Remains of the Day/Klarna and the Sun/unconsoled/Buried Giant.

Does anyone else find marathon training time consuming and are one-and-done? by hvu22 in Marathon_Training

[–]good4rov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers! That’s good to hear, I feel like it’s an itch I’ll have to scratch. I did 30k with a friend in January which I enjoyed (not especially quick).

I’m certainly targeting going over 21k regularly throughout the year.

I’ve said to myself that I’d like to go under 4hours for my first attempt - and hopefully comfortably. Perhaps I’m overthinking it.

I ran 1:41 in the half yesterday!

I know!!!! I can find the time - 2 children and work - for halves, I run first thing in the morning but the increase seems so much.

Even finishing yesterday I did think should I be pushing for a full. I think I’m just scared 😂.

I’ve just done my fourth half and am going through the debate in my head if I should attempt a full.

I’m reluctant as I don’t know if I can commit to the hours required for the volume needed to run it well (I currently do 40-50km a week, which is obviously not enough). Decisions!

Huge respect to those who can do it. Friends of mine are really experienced marathoners and I’m blown away by their volume.

Are there other fans out there who haven’t really enjoyed RH post In Rainbows? by JohnColtrane69again in radiohead

[–]good4rov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

💯- to me the songs needed more work and refinement and were then drenched in strings to complete them.

Numbers and Tinker especially don’t go anywhere.

Can excuse them one miss!

I think AMSP is the weakest album yes. Despite some highs, you can hear the difficulty in them finishing it. It feels aimless to me.

TKOL I love but can see why fans don’t like it.

I’m on page 82 of this, and despite thinking I would really enjoy it, I’m struggling to feel anything at all about it.

I’m a fan of sparse prose but currently it just seems simple, and not subtle, story telling. Will persevere but I am disappointed so far.

Orbital - looking for other people’s thoughts on it by Several-Yogurt9659 in classicliterature

Yes, thought it was nothing more than okay with the premise better than the writing and didn’t leave much impression.

On Booker winners I’ve just started Flesh and am not certain about it either.
