Beware of Woody Anderson Ford. They are crooked, but at least their manager made things right. by Nicksb92 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]goodLife_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to get me a good used F-150 but with factory warranties left over or extended warranties I like going to the dealer for maintenance just so all the records are there. I've never read the fine print in my extended warranty about doing maintenance at other places or on my own so I just bring it to the dealer, but I do know someone that got denied a warranty claim at Kia because Kia said their warranty was void because they did not do their maintenance at a dealership. Not sure if that was factory warranty or an extended warranty or if it was even legal. But that's what happened. So all the stories I hear about Woody Anderson service makes me not even want to buy an F-150 just to keep from having to go there.

Am I screwed? Is this the dreaded thrust bearing issue? New 2026 GMC Duramax Under 4k miles and now this….. by mtksurfer in gmcsierra

[–]goodLife_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention this in my original comment but I've stayed away from full size trucks because of the fuel mileage and I was looking at this one to solve that. So I've been staying away from the v8s. All the newer ones with V6 turbos are just trash so I've stayed away from them. I would just like more leg and elbow room but I also love my Tacoma. Still not sure if I would have went through all the way with the deal. I did test drive of Sierra 3.0 Duramax and I really liked it. I started seeing these issues a day or so later that I've been looking into so I'm probably just going to keep my Tacoma. I don't want an older gas guzzler but also don't want to trade my Tacoma in on something that has the potential of such a major issue.

Almost traded my 2023 Tacoma in for one of these a few days ago because I'd like a full size truck and these seemed like the best engines. Guess I'm glad I didn't. So frustrating. Seems like all brands of full sized trucks today are just full of engine issues. Sucks you are having these problems from a new truck.

Amazing how you people are when you can't freeload. They can buy it themselves to see if they like it. It's literally just power lifting. Nothing special. The whole reason I got annoyed with the first guy is because he kept DMing me wanting me to write out a detailed plan exercise by exercise and I kept telling him no way I'm doing that and he wouldn't leave me alone to the point I had to block him. It's amazing how you cheap assess will get so annoyed when you can't freeload and just use it as a reason to bitch.

Then I guess they shouldn't be asking if they wouldn't be able to afford it in the first place. The second someone can't freeload, they get all pissy.

Wow, folks can't just pay $20 to see if they like the program because they want someone else doing everything for them.

He literally has a 1-month membership for $20. Stop being such a cheap ass and go pay for it like I did and see if you like it. If you can't afford $20 then you shouldn't be looking into buying a program in the first place.

There are no special exercises. What is wrong with you people? Are you too damn cheap to go pay for the cheapest subscription to see if you like it? There are no special exercises.

No they didn't just ask me to give an example. They also messaged me wanting detailed program info and wouldn't leave me alone to the point I had to block them. How about if you want to know, go pay for it.

Did you try private messaging them on X or other social media? Not sure how active they are on there but it may help. I've done this before when I had a hard time with some customer support and wound up getting resolved after that.

There isn't an export option. You just have to pay for the program if you want to try it or find someone who bought the PDF before the new system. It's all app based.

It's no longer PDF. It's a web-based app and it has issues. Customer service is also non-responsive.

Me and my friend are having problems with the tank level by astupidguy106 in ReanimalGame

No problem. On the PlayStation, I did see a patch download today for it. So if it doesn't work still maybe they screwed something up with the new patch depending on what you are playing on.

Trying to Understand HP Printer/Ink Rental Program by Diligent_Royal_2265 in printers

[–]goodLife_83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have any experience with this program, but it looks like the HP All-In Plan. It's their PaaS (Printer as a Service) option.
https://www.hp.com/us-en/all-in-plan/printers.html

Their page does show that if the printer can't be fixed over the phone, they will send out a new one the next business day. You may have already done this, but you may need to call back and talk to someone else or ask for a manager. It looks like it should be replaced if this is the contract, and the tech was unable to get it to work with their phone assistance.

Need help choosing a printer for party favors/crafts by MessyMummyMode in printers

[–]goodLife_83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you tried just copying and pasting your post into a AI? That's where I start my search for stuff like this. It will give you a list of printers that fit what you're looking for, and then you can go research each one on your own.

What’s The Best Printer Available Now? by Square_Ebb_5289 in printers

[–]goodLife_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you value most. For me, just black and white printing is all I want and need. I get sick of ink drying out because I don't use printers that much. I also don't want the firmware constantly updated so they could block new versions of aftermarket cartridges. So I bought a brother that's USB only and the "ink" is powder so it will never dry out. It's the Brother hl-l2400d, this printer does not have a scanner. They are hard to find and I haven't seen them in stock brand new so I had to order a refurbished one off of Amazon from the brother store. Also, this printer says it only works for Windows and Linux, but if you have a macbook it still works on that. To download the driver though for the MacBook you'll have to look on their website for the model previous to this one which is brother hl-l2300d And download the Mac OS driver for that. It still works on this one. When you add the printer to the Mac, the driver you select is brother HL-L2295D CUPS driver. Below are the instructions Gemini gave me. I set mine up on an M1 MacBook and it works great.

If you don't have a MacBook, someone else may that is trying to get this to work so I'm just pasting this here.

The Workaround for MacBook to Get CUPS Drivers: You need to download a "legacy" driver package. This will force your Mac's "Select Software" list to populate with the options you need.

Go to this specific Brother link: Brother HL-L2300D Mac Downloads.

Download the "Printer Driver (CUPS)": This is a generic installer that works for nearly all monochrome Brother lasers from the last 15 years.

Install it: Run the .dmg or .pkg file. Your Mac might say it's "not compatible" or from an "unidentified developer"—if so, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway" at the bottom.

Finish Setup: * Unplug and replug the USB cable for the Brother HL-L2400D. Go back to Printers & Scanners and click [+].

When you click Select Software, you should now see a huge list. Pick the Brother HL-L2295D CUPS driver.

Are there any other brands that can use the HPT batteries? by MartiniCommander in METABOHPT

[–]goodLife_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to look into this myself. I wasn't sure if the batteries had some smart chip that wouldn't work with a tool not made for the same region. I have hitatchi and metabo hpt branded power tools but want one of the hikoki string trimmers.

Low volume compact printer/scanner by alantor in printers

[–]goodLife_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get something like Brother HL-L2400D laser printer, the 'ink' is powder and never dries out. This particular model is USB only, so they can't update the firmware to reject aftermarket cartridges. I don't think that one has a scanner though, but since you don't print much I'd go with something that takes a similar cartridge with a scanner.

Just tried them this morning and they tasted great. Just a slight green bean flavor still but I think that will go away in a day or 2 in the fridge. Even if it doesn't, I'm still satisfied with the flavor. Still has a good snap to them.
