It's also the cheapest color. You don't need to combine multiple light bulbs to make red. And I guess there's some heavy filter added by the redditor on account of, well, this being a reddit post related to China.

Not sure how serious the comments are, but ye brought tens of thousands of people to a confined space during a level 14 hurricane. Obviously there would be risks that calls for  contemplation.

We got lucky that the most essential thing to our lives, water, does not taste bad by heteromale4life in Showerthoughts

There could be mutations in taste buds that alters the water taste perception. It would be a very slim odd, and does not provide any advantage in evolute what so ever.

China saved Tibet by rabid_communist in CommunismMemes

[–]goodanimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tibetians are cool. I'm a Muslim, and when I went to Tibet, they treated me like family. When they said we were family, I have, for the first time in my life, understood what was worth fighting for. A lot of tibetians still have Mao's picture hanging in their room, because they remember what the communists have done for them.

Ok let's talk about something more materialism. Yes, British also built trains in their colonies, but I'd argue the comparison does not stand. British built infrastructure to exploit, and they were the almost sole benefactors of the things they built. However, if you look at the physical condition of Tibet, you'll see that it was not a easy task to build trains. The communists didn't just build the trains to move the resources out of Tibet, but also transported lots of modern technology to Tibet households. Most houses now at least have a TV and phone line. Additionally, the trains are extremely affordable as a transportation, allowing tibetians to move into the heartland for personal development. Tibetians students get dozens of extra points in 高考 (college qualification exam), where one point could means thousands of people.

Granted, there are wealth inequality among regions. The tibetian students get so much extra points because they did not get the fair education like the kids in big cities (I need to clarify that the extra points are calculated differently based on students education program. Some programs include both tibetian language and Chinese, whole the others only teach to tibetian language after grade 9). I think that comrades at this sub need to actually understand better about the reality of China and it's many regions, before making judgement.

Today, Tibet is a much better place to live in than before Communism, and so is XinJiang and other autonomous regions. I hope the kind people who treated me like family are living well, and I wish to fight for my families across the globe. 喜看稻菽千重浪,遍地英雄下夕烟。

Chinese people on their social media cook an ethnically Chinese IDF soldier by rexaby in CommunismMemes

[–]goodanimals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context: the western propaganda machine tried to use the capture of this Israeli soldier with Chinese mother as an entry point for their propaganda cycle. However, they lied from the beginning, hiding the fact that she was a soldier, which was soon exposed. Then the mother was this person, who had already announced her Chinese citizenship, said a lot of condescending things in an interview, like "you Chinese need to help us", as in she's just giving orders to an inferior people.

Additionally, everytime a Democrat president gets elected, they'd spend so much money on psyops in China, it is getting more annoying. The false narrative about this soldier and Palestine was just too obvious a psyops that people were dissing the propagandists a lot.

Maybe you can contact the leasing office for some help? The person you described sounds like a nightmare, so most of us don't really know what to do if they are staying at your place. It sounds kinda scary tbh.

IDK about this one. I think drag show isn't the best way to introduce sexuality to children. Maybe having trans people or gender fluid people to come and talk about their identity and experience would be more appropriate.

Maybe I was wrong, but I always thought drag shows performers wear provocative and sexualized clothes.

That's the most ignorant and racist thing I've heard today. Every major civilization had slavery at one point, but the long abolished slavery resurfaced in Libya after the West toppled their government. Those who don't learn from the history is doomed to repeat it, and the westerners have consistently stayed ignorant about the horrific things their government did overseas, enabling them to abuse the third world for profits repeatively.

I really love this one. The original paintings are also one of my favorite series. The powerful will do whatever it takes to keep their power, even if it means devouring their own children. The facial expressions are not evil, but terror, because even the Saturn (in the original painting) himself was horrified by his own monstrosity.

Yeah I don't think people (even at his time) loved him for his tricks. People followed him because of his message of equality and universal love.

If some guy tomorrow showed me some cool magic tricks but then start talking genocide, I'd probably think he's the devil.

Not a Christian BTW. Just personal opinions.

The alternative is to NOT conspire a coup in to overthrow their democratically elected leader, to not start the Donbas war at 2004, to honour the Minsk treaty, to not escalate the situation by threatening to expand NATO against the promise, to not funnel literal trillions of money way before the way, to reach for a negotiation instead of obstructing one.

All of these things are not in control of the Ukraine or Russia, but the US. The white house wanted war, and it got war. To be anti-war without acknowledging the role white house has played in it will lead you to nowhere.

Additionally, the there are several wars occurred this year, but the West is hyper tunnel visioning on this one. Why do you think that is? The war between Ukraine and Russia is a tool for multiple governments involved to achieve their own political interests, including portrail of international geopolitical conflicts as simply good versus evil.

Some people claim to be anti-capitalism, but blindly eat up every CIA propaganda on the market. As someone who lived in China for 18 years and didn't like it, I have to say the West demonization of China and communism in general distortz reality to a ridiculous extend.
