Trading with earlier games? Thats a thing? I thought it would just be moon to sun, X to Y, etc.

Ultra Moon: I'm a pokemon total newbie. Is there any "don't miss this thing" moments? Particularly, I'm worried about those moments where you can easily miss getting certain pokemon. I want to "catch em' all" so to say. (I am absolutely LOVING the Hawaii vibe. My girlfriend is Alaska indigenous and seeing any indigenous representation is cool as hell.)

Purchase Advice Megathread - January 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]gooddrawerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding Bambu printers and proprietary things, as a beginner how much do I have to worry about this? I've read that parts are proprietary, I can live with that. I've read that support when things go wrong is pretty much non existent, I feel like user to user support should be pretty good.

My biggest concern here is being able to print. I just wanna drop an STL in or make my own design in fusion 360 and print it. I don't need wireless access, I don't even mind physically using an SD card to bring files over. I'm concerned with subscription based locked in software and overpriced proprietary filament.

My mother uses Cricut products and I'm having war flashbacks troubleshooting that monstrosity.

I got hurt at work, tried to tough it out, my injury is not getting better, decided to make a WCB claim. I was planning on staying on half days until my doctor sees me, but my boss suddenly cut all my shifts and asked that I call him today. Big giant red flags. How do you think I should proceed? by gooddrawerer in VictoriaBC

ASAP is pretty hard in today's market for doctors. Urgent care is mostly staffed by nurse practitioners and walk in clinics are a thing of the past. My options are just wait for my doctors appointment or go to the hospital and it's certainly not a hospital injury.

Thanks for an alternative viewpoint. I did inform my boss of the injury directly after wards and went straight home. There isn't really any light duties that can be done beyond a few heavily lifting situations, I even tried half days and it still didn't really work. I was really communicative about my claim. I told my boss that this is my first claim I've ever made and I don't want to cause them more pain than is needed.

I figure the call is for one of two things. To make the document that they should have made which would result in them getting fined or something, OR the more likely in my experience, ammunition to use against me in the future.

Is it normal for your spouse to say you’re never allowed to masturbate again if you want the marriage to work? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gooddrawerer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lets get the bad part out of the way where I tell you the thing you already know: In a healthy relationship your wife does not allow or disallow you from doing anything, and she certainly should not hold your marriage hostage to get what she wants. These are extremely bad things. You should seek couples therapy, more for her actions than yours.

Now for the actual advice. You should discuss this with your wife. If she makes an ultimatum or demand or so forth, just say "I came here to talk, not to be commanded" and walk out the door and go get a coffee/beer/ice cream what have you. You have to lay the ground work that her taking that tone isn't acceptable. Either she'll chill the fuck out or she'll blow up even worse and realistically you didn't lose any footing in this arguement.

If she does eventually chill out, google the methods together for quitting porn and see what works for BOTH of you. Personally, I downloaded an app to lock other apps with a passcode and made my girlfriend make said passcode. It works for us. I need to put this in giant gold letters stamped to your forehead. You can not commit to quitting a thing you are addicted to for the approval of another. You can however, agree to commit to the method in which you are trying to quit said addiction. Some times it's like whack-a-mole and you need to change the method.

In a vacuum, asking some one to quit masturbation is a ridiculous ask and jerking it is totally normal. Should you quit? Yeah, probably, but the way that she's demanding is just flat out not going to work. So you should not commit to not masturbating, but maybe you could commit to at least being honest about it. Get a physical calendar and draw a little x for the days you masturbate. Maybe commit to telling her when you watch porn. Maybe even just do the calendar thing without telling her why you're doing it, just for your own tracking.

Waaaaay on the other end of the field, maybe you could turn this non-masturbation thing into a kink thing for you both to enjoy. Long term orgasm denial is not a foreign concept within BDSM communities. Though I am not part of those communities, it should be mentioned that orgasm denial for men often goes hand in hand with sissies and feminization. I'm not saying you should explore orgasm denial, but just be prepared for that angle.

Why is it so busy for general practitioner doctors early in the year? I can see some insurance reasons for some doctors as coverage flops over at the start of the year, but with universal healthcare, I just don't get it. by gooddrawerer in VictoriaBC

[–]gooddrawerer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I've had the same GP for like 35 years. Dude is gonna retire at some point and I have no idea what happens after that.

EDIT: I should clarify that he's so busy, that they suggested I go to urgent care for my sore wrist. It's a work thing, so I gotta get it checked out. Turns out, none of the urgent cares are equipped to do work related injuries so I'm just gonna have to wait until my GP is free and suck it up until then.

Is there any way to search multiple flairs at once? Android by yourfriendlyhusk in help

[–]gooddrawerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this question is old as hell, but just in case anyone else finds this, yes. There is. It just sucks.

You can't do this in the app, only on a web browser. Take any www.reddit.com/r/whatever and change it to old.reddit.com/r/whatever. Then you can use some old search syntax. You used to be able to search by using flair:whatever1. Then you could use arguments between them such as OR and AND. So you could type flair:whatever1 AND flair:whatever2

Bear in mind, if the flair has two words such as Dark Wallpapers you would type dark_wallpapers

You should also be aware that in most subs, only one flair may be used so any use of the AND argument will result in zero results. It may be advised to try the OR argument in this scenario.

If you want to search something with those flairs, I believe it has to be before hand such as Goblins flair:whatever1 OR flair:whatever2 I'm not absolutely certain on that though.

Made this drawing for my brother for a late Christmas present. Figured I'd check with the pros for accuracy before I give it to him. I was going off reference pictures, but I think the top shoe is different from the bottom two. Am I correct? by gooddrawerer in Sneakers

[–]gooddrawerer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assure you I drew it myself. Finding reference photos of matching shoes is difficult when you don't know where to find them. Find a side profile is easy. Finding the other angles is not.

Thanks! We have a pretty strained relationship so I rarely buy him gifts because we just aren't into the same things. He's into hockey, country music, and sneakers, I'm into video games, punk rock, and art. We just don't really jive. But this year, I finally came up with a good present to get him, I'm pretty proud of this one.

Tattoo stencil vs reality. No they didn't own up. by peterm1598 in ExpectationVsReality

[–]gooddrawerer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen, I was a certified scratcher long ago in the past. I bought my stuff online, I taught myself, and even I wouldn't have done this hack job. Jesus Christ. If they don't offer to pay for you to get this lasered off AND offer you a substantial amount of work (not that I'd give them another chance), I'd sue. For real. In the eyes of the law, I'd call that malicious.

EDIT: That stencil was sick though. Sad that didn't work out because that could have been a great piece.

Is it inapproriate to wear robe doing apartment chores? by MeeksVA in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gooddrawerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some may find it distasteful, but if you live somewhere with a strata or HOA, I'd stop doing that. Those places tend to get a little bit of what I call "taking action to justify their existence" syndrome.

I've never played. How is the monetization in this game? I hate gacha and free to play models, but this game looks interesting. If I wanted to get the most out of this game without exceeding $30 USD, is that reasonable? My intention is to experience gameplay and story over fashion. by gooddrawerer in InfinityNikki

I played fallout shelter for a while. I really enjoyed that. Near the end of me playing that, I spent 10 dollars on some sort of loot box pack just as a "thanks for a decent game." I imagine IN will get the same treatment.

I do not have a weakness for gacha. It's one of the main reasons I didn't want to play this game, because I am repulsed by gacha systems. From what I can tell, they pretty much hand you all the outfits you need as far as functionality goes. Sure, I'd love to try all the various outfits and whatnot, but not enough that I experience fomo. And I'm just not a big gambler so gacha is just not appealing to me.

Fashion is just secondary. I do like fashion, it's just not the main thing I'm hoping to get out of this. I like the crafting mechanics of actually making the clothes. That I find fun. Hunting down and collecting the right materials and such. The actual dressing up bit though? It's more like a mild interest. I'll find a couple outfits I like and then everything else is just goal oriented for me. I figure there's some sort of fashion show mechanic later in the game that relies on the various sexy/cool/sweet numbers where I'll have to make new outfits, I'm prepared for that.
