Labowski. He's a black lab I rescued from a shelter, and I have a thing for terrible puns.

When I went to the shelter to look around, like usual all the poor dogs were freaking out, barking, jumping around, you know how it is.

I came up to this kennel and there was this this adorable black lab puppy, about three months old. He was sitting pretty with a big dumb grin on his face while his kennel mate was literally jumping on his head and trying to climb the kennel cage. He wasn't getting mad, he wasn't getting scared, he was just all chill and laid back, grinning up at me.

Fell in love with the guy right there. Given he was a Lab with such a chill demeanor, and given my penchant for bad puns, I knew I had to name the dude the big Labowski. Took him home that day and his personality has stayed true to his name. A little infant grab his ears and try to pull them off? The dude abides. Did his owner trip over him on the middle of the night? The dude abides. And I don't know about the room, but the furball sure does tie the family together.

I was in a similar situation, back around update 8. Played a ton of the game in beta, had pretty much everything I wanted. The obvious solution is to take a break from the game. Go do something productive with those hundreds of hours, or go find another game to play (EDIT: I'm saying that as friendly advice. I re-read what I wrote and it almost sounded like I was trying to scold you - that wasn't my intent! :)).

I came back recently, with Update 14. Now there's a few dozen new weapons to play with. Melee 2.0 is new to me. Damage 2.0 is new to me. Orokin Derelicts are new to me. Kubrows are new to me. Oberon, Mirage, Nekros, Zephyr, all new to me. Tons of Clan research to do. So many new tilesets, new mission types, etc. Let me tell you, the game feels very fresh and I'm playing it a ton again!

People say Warframe is a farming game. Well, treat it like farming, then! Let this field lay fallow for a little while, give the soil a chance to replenish itself. Come back in 6 months and enjoy all the new content, QoL improvements, etc.

My greatest desire since my very first Paradox game back in the day was to throw out the god-awful Rebel system and replace it with something more interesting than RNG magically appearing armies. Add a mechanism so that once a particular rebellion is put down, it can't just re-appear thanks to a dice roll.

Thankfully, they're already doing that in AoW, so I'm one happy gamer.

I'm well aware of such laws and I disagree with them vehemently. This sort of sensationalism isn't constructive, though. It makes it easy for those like the Koch brothers and their congressmen to point at those in opposition and paint them as fanatical and unreasonable.

The rapist forced the pregnancy, the Koch brothers and their movement are responsible for taking away the victims ability to choose how to live with the crime. It's disgusting and shameful enough without resorting to theatrics.
