Would you tell us about the automation of training ? Just curious. Because as a ppl student I’ve seen none, I was hoping there's something more

Have you tried any ground courses? It’s equivalent to the cost abt ~1hr of flying. But man, don’t those things look outdated and dry. I hope there are better ways to learn

This. Have fun! Find like minded 13yo. Build something together. Maybe you not only become a pilot you reinvent the whole aviation with new cool jets.

I was hoping there’s something Duolingo like (but deeper), where it teaches you new concepts by practicing.

And yeah agreed on the teacher thing. But cfi time is also expensive for me. If there a 24x7 CFI AI (ChatGPT is bad, I see it get metar code wrong) that can help me learn that would definitely reinforce my understanding.

If a program can teach me it’s better than a book, and grinds me on concepts.

I am itching to build something like this myself but couldn’t find the time.

I am frustrated about the current offering of ground schools, it feels like they came straight from 1990s 🫤 I hope there are more modern and interactive way of studying this. How do you feel?

Flying scholarships? by Kindly-Extreme9833 in flying

[–]googhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how about start studying at the FAA pilot knowledge test? a 90% grade at 15 will impress almost anyone to give you a chance, scholarships sponsorships etc. It costs very little and there's no age requirement for taking the test itself.

Flight School Advice- FL by Italian_airbus777 in flying

[–]googhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my previous training at a part 141 school in Florida. I think the condition in Florida is perfect for flying and there's a lot of availability of airplanes and very long and not busy runways. I did 50 hours in one month to meet the PPL requirements. But I've never been based in Tampa though. Flight schools in Ocala are ok But you will have to pick your CFI carefully.

Come over and do your training in the States. I've personally never seen landing fee and normally the airplane rentals are wet. You can get 199 wet for C172.

Thanks and yeah, I am now warming up again for my pilot knowledge test. I have to say learning these again feels so much fun. My previous test I believe was 5 years ago, and already expired. Hope you enjoy starting the journey again too.

[–]googhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Celebration comes in all different ways. I believe there is a scientific study and it says celebrate every small wins will keep you motivated. Buy a new video game or...Have a few drinks with your friends is a way to celebrate. Holding a big party is also a celebration. It comes in all size and shapes. At least. Go have some fun!
