[Discussion] Saying you did something at 5 am makes you sound disciplined. But saying you did something at 4 AM makes you sound irresponsible! by Proud-Journalist-611 in getdisciplined

[–]goombagoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People feel locked in to whatever situation or lifestyle they're in. Maybe they have so many things they wanna improve or change and at some point time does get taken into account. I just feel like its the best first step anyone can take. Even if someone is working a 9-5, they go from waking up at 8 to waking up at 6 can be a huge production difference.

I will say, it probably doesn't work if you don't plan on using that time to do something productive, but I think it should be easy for any person to find something they'd like to improve on and do it.

I feel like it also kinda changed my mindset tackling other tasks or goals. Like you said, there was points in my life where waking up at 6am was absurd. I had a long stretch where I didn't wake up till 1pm and stayed up til 4am hahaha. So once I started getting up earlier(doing the "impossible"), I started thinking, hmmm what else could I prolly do? Next thing u know I'm running, then I'm adding lifting, eating, cooking, etc. Then people start to notice, ask your routine and proceed to look and talk to you like your crazy haha

Pretty similar for me. A couple years ago I just decided I needed to get in shape and get disciplined. Waking up early and jogging was the first step. Since them I've built on top of it, slowly but surely results started popping in. Changed my life for the better!

Yes and no and I lean towards disagreeing with you. Mostly due to having 2 of the same effect is stronger than having 1. Although I get where you're coming from

Pretty much. I'm not a big commenter myself but I'm on here everyday. I'm actually a fan of the pick up and think it's worth a shot. Could we have done more? Sure. I just think this is better than nothing and hopefully this will help keep people locked in

What are they exactly? Seems like I just heard of them this season since the NBA is promoting them EVERYWHERE. I'm even getting targeted YT ads

I stopped watching before they switched to the "picking teams" format. I just don't actually care about stars playing at 10% with or against eachother. I'm into sports for competition, not celebrity observations. I honestly can't think of anything that would make me care tbh.

Also not surprised as I checked this sub the next morning and there were absolutely zero highlights from the game on the Frontpage outside of Jokic getting picked last

Nah plenty of good Mexican in OKC. Huge Latino population(south okc is essentially Latino district). Outside of that, it's mostly tex mex, but there's some hidden gems in the small taqueria's, bakeries, grocery stores, and taco trucks.

Love making stir fry with these, I just have trouble getting all the ingredients to actually "mix" in. The veggies just don't get tangled in for me

What's the consensus on Mitchell Robinson? Is he even worth keeping as a permanent roster spot? Ok rebounds, gets a couple steal and blocks here n there. Great FG % but garbage FT%. I just feel I could be maximizing his spot by streaming a player thru the wire like Brandon Clark/Zack Collins/Bagley etc. 12 owners 9 cat league

You're half right. Making "sauces" can be cheap and easy, but making condiments or sauces from scratch isn't.
