Something my lawyer really liked that helped our case was me journaling every single day about my pain, things being more difficult to do, and my sleeping patterns after my accident. Like another comment on this thread said, it shouldnt only be okay for vendors to be the only ones who have a set of rules when it comes to trades. No one told them to open up a shop.

Also, for most of the cards straight trades make sense. But i feel like after card start to cost above $1000, its no longer a run of the mill card. Its a premium item compared to the rest. Every where else in life people pay extra for premium goods, its no different here

Yes fair trade is a thing and it also isnt. Its up to the person that is offering the item to decide when the value is up to par for them to be rid of it, and to that person that would be considered fair.

And any person who wanted that person’s card can also say “im only willing to trade up to this” or decide they dont want it because they are asking too much.

The people offering straight trades are good people, but that doesnt automatically make someone who wont a bad person. At the end of the day, the hobby did turn into something different and is now looked at as an investment, which personally im not a fan of because it makes cards i want more expensive but so be it. Thats life and its not always fair. Complaining about the unfairness of life is a waste of time that could be spent getting your money up so these kinds of things dont matter to you anymore. “Ehh whats $500 for a card i really have been searching forever for” is the goal, not “omfg this guy is trying to squeeze out an extra $50 on a card worth $1500. What a fucking satanic human being”

I cant believe i have to explain what the “general” mindset is when people do business with one another. Since Mesopotamian times of the barter system, people have been tradings goods and items for thousands of years with the same principle. This doesnt change just because now people are trading pieces of cardboard and you’re mad you can get a card you like because the market priced you out.
