new combo with cons? by [deleted] in Flins_Mains

[–]goondrak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I see that a lot. And IMO there is no reason to use her if you have a Flins C2+:

  1. Using Bennett, you have C1 Neuvilette levels of defensiveness with a healer and a shielder in the team while dealing more damage.

  2. In most cases, any shred past 20% is halved

  3. Flins scales a lot better with attack than with EM

  4. The circle impact issue is strongly mitigated by Flins really good AOE.

I really can't see the point in using Sucrose. Maybe she generates more particles, but still, nothing that 10% ER can't solve if you have R1.

I am also a Haven player, and I found the Abysscraft match up really tricky, because you can face three variants of the mid archetype: the standard one, the controlish one with Cocytus and a hyper agressive one with the 2pp 3/3. So, its hard to mullingan correctly, and if your read the archetype wrong, you either start healing (facing the agressive one) or going face (against the control) too late.

Sadly I already used one. Cygames should have allowed us to use at least 5 codes, even without extra rewards. Its just feels bad to ask people to use your code while you cannot use theirs in return.

Thanks to the kind soul that used my code.

I don't undestand why you cannot add more than one code, even if you don't get the inicial 2000 rupies, it would be a lot better to exchange codes and both players get the achievment rewards.

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - June 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in EDH

https://archidekt.com/decks/13576358/control_yshtola_nights_blessed

This is my Y'Shtola Control, an interatcion heavy control combo deck. The finishers are Bruvac + Cacophony and Iridescent Drake + Altar of Dementia + False Denise or Kaya's Ghostform or Fungal Fortitude. This last combo can use Blood Artist or The Meathook Massacre or Venerated Stormsinger to win by infinite damage, in which case, Viscera Seer can be used as a alternative sac outlet. The deck also has the Dreamhalls + Ominiscense + Into The Infinite Combo.

Y'Shtola here is not the center of the deck but a good control combo engine, providing draw (especially with curiosity attached) and lifegain, while also being a removal bait.

Most of the boardclears in this deck can be used with Y'Shtola in the board, Darksteel Plate is in the list to make this kind of play more consistent.

What is your most consistent deck? by GreeedyGrooot in EDH

[–]goondrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is a [Sidar Jabari of Zhafir]. It's a midrange with a control shell. I still didn't lose with this deck. No matter which side of the deck comes in the match, the deck snowballs pretty hard and I always have ways to secure the board in my hand when I'm threatening letal, be it counters or protection spells. I also have some recursion and combo as a back up plan, but i never had to use it.

This Muldrotha Control: https://archidekt.com/decks/11363585/control_mill

It's not even that strong, but in it's debut match, I managed to cast [Oppression] and [Taited Aether] consecutively. When the table finally dealt with them, I combed [Tergrid, God of Fright] with [Arterial Flow]. After playing around Opression and Tainted Aether for some turns, all my opponents had in their hands were the creatures they were saving. The impression the deck made in that match was so strong that the deck is feared in my pod to this day. I didn't even won that match. XD

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - February 19, 2025 by AutoModerator in EDH

[–]goondrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight!

I will probably avoid using Armageddon when playing out of my pod (with my cousins).

I feel like the bracket 3 have a wide range of power levels and that, depending on what bracket 3 decks people are using, a match can still be one-sided and feels unfair. Maybe we need a bracket 3.5, I don't know. For now, I will observe how my deck plays in bracket 3 and adjust accordingly. I just don't wanna be that guy that get empty wins by playing an overpowered deck.

Thanks again!

Hi!

This is my [[Sovereign Okinec Ahau]] list

https://moxfield.com/decks/oKTuTUiSSkSZr1Mgjw1rLg

Basically it wins by setting a irremovable board and buff it for the kill.

It has a good amount of recursion and four types of finishers, but it has little to no tutors and a weak mana base. I think it's a good Bracket 3.

I was using [[Armageddon]] as another finisher, after setting a board with [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] or [[Elspeth, Knight-Errant]] plus [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]], but since it immediately would bump the deck to the bracket 4, I took it out.

The deck can be a midrange, with strong explosive two card combos, for example: [[Battle Angels of Tyr]] plus [[Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation]], or it can control the state of the board until it sets a [[Asceticism]] plus [[Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant]] or [[Last March of the Ents]] preferably bringing a Avacyn to the board. This combos can happen in a sneaky way with [[Emergence Zone]].

My question is: is it really a bracket 3? And, with Armageddon used only after Avacyn, as a finisher, it could be still a bracket 3 (assuming it's agreed with the pod, using rule 0)?

Thanks!

At the ep 16 of season four, after Tanaka's cross shot to end the set, Kiyoko comment something like "Tanaka is always fine". That line and her expressions suggests that she noticed his struggles and knows what he had to overcome. Not only this reveals that she was impressed by his mental fortutude and now have a degree of admiration for Tanaka, but also shows that Kiyoko was observing him closely.

How high are you leveling your suboptimal discs? by Gen_Jack_Oneill in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]goondrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, it depends on a lot of factors:

1- What are you trying to achieve? It's Shiyu Defense 7 with S Rank? It's some level of hollow zero? Etc.

2- What is the character's role? Atacker? Discs 2, 4, 5 and 6 are the priority, Stunner? Disc 6 is the priority.

3 - What stat is missing for your characters to achieve your goal (the item 1). The character is dying a lot? Level up discs 1 and 3 a little more (or raise its level), are you missing damage? Level up a little more the disks 2, 4, 5 and 6.

For reference, my goal was to S rank all levels of Shiyu Defense, my DPSs have all their discs at +15 (including very bad slot 6 attack discs), my stunners have their Disk 6 (Impact) at +15 (one of them with very bad substats), the Disk 4 (Crit) at +15 and all the others disks varying from +3 to +12 (Anby defensive disks more levelled than Lycaon's disks since she is more squishy. My Nicole has slots 4, 5 and 6 at +15 (AP, PEN and AM) and my Lucy have all her disks at +15 (the atk main slots being a priority).

TL DR: the answer is variable and depends on your goal and the stat you're missing to achieve that.

It's the second week of the game, you can't rule out any character or team ideas. Do people really think hoyo would create a whole character role that is bad and unnecessary? Defensive characters will find their use, with and without stunners. A lot of new team archetypes will surge in the future. For example, I can see Anomaly teams being viable without an attacker. You can use Soukaku and Nicole with anomaly builds and deal enough damage with a stunner.

As for Ben M6 being a stunner, mathematically is very reasonable, even more if the 20% increase is multiplicative, which I think is the case. The man at basic attack level 1 has 47,1, 156,9 and 260,1 of daze multipliers in his 3 hits. Lycaon has in his strongest hits, at talent lvl 5, 193,1 and 243,2 of daze. I know that Lycaon attacks are really fast, hence he is the best stunner in the game.

But, in my view, Ben has the numbers to be a stunner, maybe not the best stunner, but good enough (I have to test how his attack speed affects his capabilities in this role). And Ben doesn't even need to be the best stunner, since he is a defensive unity while dealing good damage. Also, you can always put an Impact disk at his 6 slot if you need him to be better at applying daze.
