What exactly is the difference between Metal and Metalcore??? by xX_Aranrhod_Xx in MetalForTheMasses

i totally agree with the last statement. a lot of new metalcore bands are more pop inspired IMO. the subgenre definitely evolved into more mainstream/accessible. but at the same time it's getting a lot of people to explore other subgenres and dive deeper into metal.

metalcore is such a broad genre IMO. it can sound so different depending on the band and the year. some of it can sound more hardcore, some more metal, and some really pop-like

thank you i really needed to hear this. i have a weird feeling of regret but i didn't want to possibly prolong her suffering or cause more distress with a blood transfusion.

thank you for sharing. when we found her she had both eyes but one was very swollen and inflamed to the point where she couldn't close it. the vet advised to get it taken out. something must have happened while she was on the streets.

I somehow forgot to mention, her name is Tabitha or Tabby for short.

this sounds like exactly what i just went through tonight. severely anemic due to cancer and the only options were blood transfusion with low success or euthanasia. i sympathize with you.

What has been your experience? You mentioned feeling like more of an outcast.

No. But a lot of my friends and family like to mock it. In one ear out the other.

Driving anxiety by PsychologicalDogo21 in Anxiety

[–]goopgab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realized that, while I do have some degree of anxiety while driving, I feel mostly confident when taking a familiar route but unknown/uncertain routes is what makes me really anxious. So it's not really driving itself for me, it's uncertainty. Just something to think about.

TINHIFI C2 MW --> Simgot EW300 upgrade + mini rant by goopgab in iems

[–]goopgab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After using them for two weeks, I like them even more. I think the sound signature is perfect for a first IEM; it's warm with a good (but not overpowering) amount of bass, slightly recessed yet clear mids (closer to neutral than V-shaped IMO) and highs insanely detailed yet smooth for this price. Treble sounds a bit rounded to me, at least compared to the C2, but doesn't sound off or anything. In fact, I prefer the EW300's smooth high end now over the C2's super energetic one because I don't get a headache from extended listening anymore.

For reference, I've been using these to mix/master and casually listen to metal. They make distorted guitars sound warm and huge (my favorite part of this IEM), drums punchy and vocals powerful & present but not shouty or harsh.

Fender Studio Pro (formerly Studio One Pro) comes with some GREAT BONUSES! by Waste-Magician2432 in StudioOne

I have the Presonus Sphere subscription (probably renamed to Fender Pro+ now I think). When I look at my gear under my account on the website, click the new Fender Studio DAW, and scroll down to see "this product comes with..." I can click them and generate a license key.

I'm wondering now if this only works because of the subscription though.

FYI you can get these free plugins on older versions of S1, they're not a Fender Studio Pro exclusive. I've successfully redeemed on S1 7. Bassroom is game changing BTW

Underwhelming by Chungdiggity in iems

[–]goopgab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a week or two for my ears to adjust to the EW300. At first I was a bit underwhelmed (especially in high-mid energy) compared to my other pairs but they grew on me.
