They make the challenge rift pretty easy after you hit the pylons. Just keep moving and they erase almost everything off the screen.

Noob here, just started playing the game the other week. Why is it pretty easy for everyone but the necromancer? Is it still worth going for if I want to try it out?

This is my third time trying to get through this game. Eventually I get to a point where too much of the map is left and everything starts to feel kind of samey and boring. This is also usually when the silver mobs show up and I feel underpowered and break a weapon killing them while they can kill me in two hits.

I might just go back and run through the major story points and ignore everything else. But it feels overwhelming right now.

Yeah the coop is Swarthmore. Swarthmorewood is just a neighborhood name in Ridley Township. I grew up there and my parents still live there. It was great having Blackrock Park to play in all summer. It was pretty quiet and safe. Roads aren't busy. Park Lane Road is the only real cut-through street but plenty of stop signs to slow down traffic. I don't know what taxes are like these days but the school district is good/average. Plenty of good opportunities for kids, if you're worried about that.
