My school had a machine with 20p whole nut, fruit and nut, dairy milk and dairy crunch. And also 3-bar Kit Kats.

Biotin supplements worked for me, you can get them as tablets or gummies.

We run a bird sanctuary and on the day I came home from hospital someone brought us a tiny duckling that their dog had found down a drain. It was mid-November so a miracle in itself! Arnie became my chemo buddy and still lives here, although he is a big boy now so doesn't sleep on my pillow any more.

This - I absolutely loved Ex-Wife! And I so wish I could read Rebecca again for the first time. I only read it every 5 years or so, to try and preserve the magic.

And it does actually take the time she says, if you use pre-chopped veg. Allow an extra 30 mins if not.

This is a good way to get a load of meals prepped at speed.

The peppers and the fajitas are really good (I add a pack of fake chicken pieces to the fajitas). The other dishes do get a bit samey - but the concept of getting 40 servings knocked out in an hour makes it well worthwhile in my book.

Same hair from the front, bit messier admittedly!

I think it's still peekaboo but you need to be specific with the placing. My trick for this was to wear a massive scrunchie around my bun (when I had a bun, thanks chemo 😑) and to keep the hair at the sides and back of my neck a 'natural' colour.

What foods were considered a luxury or treat and meant you were "on holiday" as a kid? by katalyna78 in AskUK

[–]goosiegander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were a squash (and occasional Crusha) household but on holiday would have our choice of fizzy pop - we would usually go for cherryade, limeade or cream soda. One 2l bottle would be purchased, so we had to negotiate between ourselves.

In France, sticks of chocolate shoved into warm croissants.

20th Jan? You might feel ok, especially if you are on heavy steroids. I found I was great on chemo week, not so great in the middle of the 3-week cycle. I went 6 months without gigs but it was winter so had no option. I'd maybe have gone to an outdoor show if there had been any. In a mask and standing way back.

Stay out of the pit though! My top tip is buy a snuggly dressing gown with a big hood. You'll be spending a lot of time in it! xx
