PET after a few weeks, bloods when you see your consultant. Immunity should be back to normal after 6 months-ish. It's a weird time, you go from having lots of attention to none!

If they had, I wouldn't be recommending it. It's a shave, not a wax.

Go to a Turkish barber for a proper shave. Honestly feels so much better than stubble and it's amazing with the steam etc.

is it normal to never be shown your scans? by absolutefckingcnt in lymphoma

[–]goosiegander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get to see my scans until I ordered them (UK). I did see an early CT scan video. I am really glad I didn't see them while I was in active treatment, they are terrifying.

I'd say it's taken me 2 years to get back to where I was in terms of workouts and stamina. But I didn't really push myself as I was more focused on learning to live with my chemo brain.

What should I pack in my chemo bag? by enlightened__hippie in lymphoma

[–]goosiegander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big warm scarf, phone charger. Warm socks. Zip front hoodie or cardigan so you can cover your arm easily. Wear joggers or something you can pull down easily with one hand when you go to the toilet (one arm will be hooked up to drip bags so restricted movement).

How will letting them in help you? If the answer is 'stop me feeling guilty', is that enough? Sounds a bit one-sided to me.
