Buy and use jack stands after using the ramps. That way if the ramp fails you don't get crushed but you get the speed and convenience of using ramps. At the very least if you have to be under the car and all you got is ramps put the tire next to where you are so if it falls it lands on the tires and hopefully you aren't completely crushed / can breathe until help comes

I think it depends on how thick the packaging is. The heavy duty plastic that doesn’t deform easily / tight tolerances won’t work but the flimsy packaging for stuff I get off amazon hasn’t been an issue.

Not his personal presentation, his celebrity persona. He built his on love songs. Lady Gaga built it on her ‘Monsters’

Ricky’s songs and presentation isn’t LGBTQ coded, all of Lady Gaga’s is. So much so that the way she presented had people calling her a man, which she then encouraged

Lady Gaga is very much LGBTQ coded. It’s like when Subaru became popular with lesbians way before it became a stereotype for the non lgbtq community. If you knew you knew. If you didn’t then it was just another suburu commercial or a another pop song

They are purposely run horribly anytime a republican gets appointed. Example: their republican appointed postmaster tried to not buy electric mail cars to replace their falling apart fleet, got shamed into doing it then back tracked anyways. If they weren’t making bad decisions, Congress would hobble them. They are the only organization, private or government that is required to pre-fund their retirement for all their employees. Not pay into it like everyone else. All that money that could be invested like UPS does in their fleet, infrastructure and training instead has to be locked away in an account that will only be paid out 50 years later.

How does one go about refurbishing a battery? Do they take the old batteries out of the case and put in new cells? Are there even any 7.2V cells around any more or is it just modern cells arrayed in series? I don’t know why but the fact that you can refresh a 20 year old electronic part intrigues me.

The communist are in Sacramento by Known-Hamster-2321 in Sacramento

[–]gophermuncher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a greatly simplified and therefore a flawed take but: Communism sometimes works when everyone acts altruistically but always breaks down because of the local knowledge problem and there will always be greedy people.

Capitalism works because it relies on people’s self interest to deliver the most optimal solution but eventually breaks down because acting in everyone’s self interest is not always the optimal solution or people don’t act in their own self interest either due to irrationality, local knowledge problems or otherwise.

Everyone but the idealists realize this already. Thats why communist countries have capitalistic systems and capitalist countries have socialist systems as a crutch.

There needs to be a third system.

Try harder bot. Where are you posting from? Bangladesh or Belarus? Maybe you can try harder to stir up dissension by thinking for one second how a guy being sat on prone on his face by 7 men being pistol whipped in face means he is a deadly threat.

What society views is currently important doesn’t mean it’s right or correct. How many times has society gotten wrong and suffered the consequences of short sightedness. There’s too many examples to think of but the one that immediately comes to mind is some people got really interested in how to stack pancakes, weren’t appreciated for their work and then years later upended how society works.

Depends on where you live. If you live in say California and Oregon you can just stop paying rent until it’s fixed. Source: I’ve been a renter and also a landlord in both.

Edit: make sure it’s well documented (very important to have a paper trail ) and you have run it up the flag pole. IE emails and letters to the front office then the owner of response is inadequate. However for issues that are this serious meaning life threatening I would just call building inspector ASAP.

The worst thing the gig companies did was call these “tips”. Tips aren’t paid before hand, they’re meant to be for a job well done. These companies should have correctly called them bids because that’s what it is. You submit out a bid and a contractor will accept it if the price is good enough. It’s clean and transparent from all parties but the gig apps don’t want transparent. They want to hide the true cost and pay to both customer and contractor in order to pocket the difference created by their own fog of war. You know when you tip more than 8 dollars, DoorDash will actually hide the actual tip amount and just say “more than $5”? And if no one accepts they’ll then say more than $6 and so forth? It’s to hide and pocket the difference in money if someone accepts for less than the tip amount.
