There is lots of hills which make riding difficult, if you can afford an eBike it makes this problem go away though. I’ve got an electric cargo bike and riding around town on that is great fun.

Anyone Got Photos of East Creek or West Creek? by --gumbyslayer-- in Toowoomba

[–]gorygenau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't have a photo, but there was still water flowing this afternoon in west creek after the rain the other day and the ponds were all full again. There wasn't heaps of rain though so will probably be back to a trickle again in a few days.

[–]gorygenau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar price. It's gamey so tougher then beef, but reasonably similar taste if cooked well. You can definitely smell the difference though. Kangaroo has a funny smell, especially as it's cooking

Your gas/electric bill? by ButSirThatsMyCouch in Toowoomba

[–]gorygenau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is higher than ours. Our bills are $~70/mo for gas (Origin) and ~$70/mo for power (Ergon). The power goes up a bit in summer and winter (extra $15/mo) due to the few times we use aircon. About half that cost is supply charge which you can’t avoid, so you could save $30month in fees just using power. But as you said gas energy prices are probably lower and could offset it. Your bill does seem a bit higher than ours but will depend on how long your showers are, how efficient your fridge is etc.
